Bottle: The aroma consists of chocolate, caramel, espresso, and wood. It pours a dark brown with some reddish-orange highlights along the outside of the glass. It has a small beige head that leaves behind spotty lacing. The flavor starts with chocolate, caramel, and roasted malt. The finish has moderate espresso and wood. Medium bodied with mild carbonation.

I was eager to try this brew as I read here a thread touting this as the best porter ever brewed. Bottle shared by Alan. Thanks! Pours black with light tan head. Aroma is great. Dark roast and chocolate aroma dominate. This smells really good. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is roast, chocolate, spices, and finishes dry. Thats the only knock I have on this brew. I like my porter to finish with a lingering flavor. Not trail off to nothing with a dry finish the way this one does. Probably the best porter to come out of Florida. Thanks Alan!

12 oz bottle: Pours a dark brown with a medium light tan head that diminishes rather quickly into nice lacing. Roasty aroma and flavor is nutty with hints of caramel, chocolate, and coffee. Creamy mouthfeel leads into a refreshing and very drinkable finish. Delicious!

Bottle courtesy of beerlando. Pours a nice rich dark brown with a fluffy 1 finger tan head with a mix of tiny and big bubbles. Head settles rather slowly and clings to the side of the glass. Good lace. Nice rich aroma of roast, dark chocolate, tobacco, and leather. Some sweetness in the nose as well. Rich mouthfeel, medium. The taste has several nice transitions starting with a sweet chocolate taste that moves to bitter leather and dark chocolate. Lingering bitterness. I like the taste but would rather not have the lingering bitterness. I guess it is suppose to be aggressively hopped though. Much hoppier than most porters I have had. I’m glad the hop taste was on purpose because I definitely would have knocked it for that had I not known. Pretty good but I do rather enjoy my porters a tad less hoppy.

Bottle courtesy of al_b, thanks buddy! Dark brown pour with a minute head, faded to a thin collar and left some nice lace. Aroma was lots of cocoa up front, some roasted malts and and some earthy hops, super clean. Flavors were very similar, chocolate, some roastiness, a bit of coffee and a decent lasting bitterness in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation, super drinkable. A nice offering from CCB, damn good porter.

On draft at CCB. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Nose is dark chocolate, cocoa, pine hops, coffee, dry-roast, and some earth. Flavor is similar with hops all over. Flavor is excellently unique, it maintains its porter-ness in the face of all the hops, yet the hops contribute to the overall profile. Interesting.
