Bottle courtesy of al_b, thanks buddy! Dark brown pour with a minute head, faded to a thin collar and left some nice lace. Aroma was lots of cocoa up front, some roasted malts and and some earthy hops, super clean. Flavors were very similar, chocolate, some roastiness, a bit of coffee and a decent lasting bitterness in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation, super drinkable. A nice offering from CCB, damn good porter.

On draft at CCB. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Nose is dark chocolate, cocoa, pine hops, coffee, dry-roast, and some earth. Flavor is similar with hops all over. Flavor is excellently unique, it maintains its porter-ness in the face of all the hops, yet the hops contribute to the overall profile. Interesting.

Pours ultra dark clear brown with lovely reddish hues. Caramel colored head with good staying power. Nose is very deep and rich with tons of roasted dark malt and some espresso and smoke with a hint of chocolate. Thats where the good ends. I found this a real mess to be honest. Tons of hops up front, is this a black ipa? Its probably better suited top it. Massively bitter and soapy with occasional roast peaking through but a disappointing thin mouthfeel. I’m not a fan of this one.

12oz bottle thanks to drowland! Wow, this one really surprised me, the pour is very dark brown with a nice head that stays through out the entire glass, the aroma is very sweet and the flavor is full of malt with hints of chocolate in the finish. This is a very smooth and drinkable brew, you have to try this one!

Bottles. Pours a dark brown with a dark roasted malt aroma with a nice hop backbone. Flavor mimics, with the toasted malt character coming through and just enough hops to let you know it is there. The malts in this porter are superb. Great brew.

12oz bottle pours out very dark with mahogany/chocolate edges and loose mocha head. The aroma just after the pour invades everything within a couple of feet with full rich dark fruity esters. A few minutes later a closer inspection reveals the same thicket of dark fruity esters as well as dark chocolate, burnt malts dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee, chicory and then a thin layer of chocolate brownie. The taste is bold and rich with a brief pulse of sweet malts and sweet dark fruity esters and then rolling into dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee, burnt malts and a growing dark chocolate note. By midway and to the finish a pleasing note of chicory comes to the surface and carries into the after taste with the other notes. Yummy full flavored brew.

12oz bottle thanks to Blazer06. Pours very dark brown with a one-finger tan head that leaves a nice film. Great hoppy and slightly roast with a little cedar, like a black IPA, CDA, or whatever almost. Cedary and roasty flavor with lots of earth and herbal hops. A little milk chocolate and char. Fairly light, dry, and bitter on the mouthfeel with a good carbonation level. Solid beer.
