Bottle, courtesy of kermis. Pours a pitch black beer with a small tanned head. Aroma of licorice, coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. Flavor is very sweet, chocolate and molasses rise to the top in this one, backed up by a solid malty base and ends with a light sweet alcohol burn. Nice in balance, great stuff. Misses some verbonden though.

Sampled at the RBSG 2014. It poured a black color with a tan head. The aroma was of bourbon, vanilla, oak, roasted malts and raisins. The taste was similar to aroma, with a little acidity and bitterness. Good stuff.

Bottle shared at the get Dean to 5000 tasting, post Deanís 5000. Pours near black with small beige head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, a light tart dark fruit aspect (light infection? Itís not bad but not sure itís supposed to be there), chocolate, fudge and wood. Flavour is light heavy sweet and over moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Tasted at RBSG grand tasting. 750ml bottle. Very dark brown color. Thin off-white head. Couple loose bits of lace. Dark fruit, chocolate, light spice, some vanilla barrel character. Moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter, light alcohol heat / bite. Medium to bigger body, smooth kind of lighter carbonation. Solid stuff, but kind of sweet for me.

Thanks to Toby for this one. Poured jet black with almost no head. Lots of lacing. Nose is Rich Chocolate, oakey, and somewhat boozy. Taste is heavy on the chocolate, light vanilla notes.

750 received in trade a while back.. Shared tonight with the good fellas.. Pours a fairly thick dark brown, dark brown head rises up and dies back pretty quickly.. nose shows thick vanilla and barrel presence. Pretty odd spicy note makes me think of cinnamon that I know isnít really there.. Instead just a big clean dark malt bomb.. bourbon gets a little heavy as it warms up.
