750 mL bottle. Dark cola brown, but not much head. Aroma seems quite yeasty. Some booze, chocolate, herbs. Has the appropriate Baltic flavours, with some chocolate and herbal notes. Not as boozy as I expected. Surprisingly dry finish. Nice beer.

Bottle at the Beer, Bocce and Boozer Tasting, London. Thanks Jack for this beer. Pours black-brown with a soft, creamy tan head. Dark malt nose with some soft roast and burnt wood. Medium to big sweet flavor with rich chocolate, light roasted malts, light booze. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dark, lightly burnt sugary sweet finish with mild, earthy bitterness, rich chocolate cake and light milk cocoa. Nice beer overall.

Bottle at Leighton’s Beer, Bocce and Boozer tasting, thanks to jackl. It pours very dark brown, with a thick light tan head. The nose is roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and toasted coconut. The taste roasted malt, residual sweetness, dark fruit, touch of tanginess, lactose, brown sugar, chocolate and alcohol warmth, with a dry-roasted finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Decent stuff, but I am still left a little underwhelmed.

Bottle @ Beer, Bocce and Boozer tasting. Black color with a deep brown head. The nose is of brown sugar, malt vinegar. Meaty smoke and pumpernickel bread. The taste is quite sweet and boozy. Some yeast, port wine. Vinous. Sweet malty finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Overall a decent beer, though it didn’t low my socks off.

In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a black colour with a thin light tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, liquorice and a little burnt toast. Similar flavours with lingering alcohol, dark chocolate again and Ovaltine. Mild carbonation, light CO2 prickle and an oily mouth-feel. Quite bitter to finish. Lovely.
