pour at fruit in the room, hazy orange gold with a thick white head. Aroma of fruity wheat. Taste follows with the sweet and tart notes from the fruity. nice easy drinking beer with complexity

...had this a while ago in the tasting room at Cigar City. I remember it being way too tart, almost artificial kumquat flavor was way too up front. that’s really all I could taste if I remember correctly. Strong citrus nose and finish.

Draft. Cloudy variegated orange color, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of pink grapefruit. Taste of bitter grass and citrus. Nice.

9/27/11. Growler thanks to Adam. Hazy orange pour with a nice khaki head. I don’t think I’ve had a kumquat before, but the aroma on this is hugely fruity and tropical. Similar fruity flavor with a nice bitter kick as well. Nice!

Pour is a nice light gold with thin white head. Smell is ripe mandarin oranges hops light lemon. Taste is a little hoppy up front lemon grass white pepper middle fizzy kinda beer.

Draft… CCB Fruit in the Room 2011… Pours hazy and straw-colored with a small, white head. The bouquet is more like a Belgian tripel than a wit and I’m picking up no Kumquat here. I admittedly have no idea what a kumquat smells like; however, unless kumquat smells like a Belgian tripel, I’m not picking it up. Medium-bodied and a touch watery with gentle carbonation. The flavor is lightly acidic, mildly bitter, a tad fruity and faintly spicy. Crisp, spicy finish. Basically, this simply tastes like a mild Belgian tripel and I detest the style with very few exceptions.

Tap at FITR. Pours a hazy light gold with a thick white head. Peppery fruity hop aroma. Smooth clean malt, nice wheat body with a nice hint of fruit poking through.

On draft at Cigar City for Fruit in the Room. On as Brindle Dog Kumquat Wit. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is a great combination of both parts of a kumquat- the sweetness of the rind with the tartness of the fruit. These all add to a nice combination of citrus, kumquat, and wheat beer. Light to medium in body with a crisp, clean finish.

On draft for Fruit in the Room. Poured a hazy yellow, wiith aromas of oranges, and kumquats. Tasted like an average wit with tart kumquats and oranges added.

Poured a hazy yellow. Nose is orange rind, citrus zest. Flavor is yeasty, lemony, orange peels, hints of sweet orange juice.
