UPDATED: OCT 7, 2012 75cl bottle @ ZZT V. Hazy red color, small off-white head. Smell malts, sweetness, barrel aged clearly. Taste malts, lightly alcohol, liquor, wood, barrel aging clearly, but to me the brandy BA is very close to bourbon, though I donít know whether theyíre close, but to me itís very similar to bourbon. Anyway, itís good! Full body, medium to full carbonation. Absolutely amazing!

On draft at Cigar City. Pours a hazy brown with an off-white head. Nose is a nice burst of caramel and toffee with vanilla, some toffee, some wood, some nice brandy notes, mild booziness, and some more quaffable brandy. Flavor is a delectable balance of brandy, wood, vanilla, toffee, and caramel. Medium in body and another home run from CCBís barrel program.

On draft at Cigar City, poured a cloudy dark amberish brown color with aromas of dark pitted fruit, malt, light toffee, and some hot brandy. Flavors were malt and figs/dates up front with a nice apple brandy finish, light vanilla was mixed in on a few sips as well. Outstanding beer again from Cigar City.

On tap at Cigar City. First of all, let me state that Iím a huge fan of barleywines, take that for what itís worth. This offering has a huge nose of booze, brandy, malt and dark fruit. The head disappears to nothing in a very short period of time. The palate is sweet malt, dark fruit, brandy and caramel. At 13%, this is a huge beer. Enjoyed it so much, I bought a couple of bottles to go!!

Theres sooo much going on in here! Snifter pour at the brewery. Aroma is all over. Booze mixed with raisins, figs, dates, all kinds of dark fruit. Toffee and sweetness. Unbelievable. Flavor follows with dark fruit, toffee, definitely. Healthy brandy notes throughout. This beer is monster!! Lighter palate than I may have wanted, but still alright. Definitely a rich and healthy barley wine coming from someone who isnít so far into barley wines.

Thanks, Geiger! Aroma is of dark fruits, plenty of brandy, sweetness, and some toffee and nuts. Body is murky brown with not much of a head at all. Flavors are mainly nutty and sweet malts with a brandy rich body and some cherries and vanilla. Nice stuff here for sure. One of the smoothest beers Iíve ever had. Great!
