3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I dont see the appeal in this one really. Smells like rock candy and strawberry jelly. Taste is very sweet with little alcohol. The barrel adds more fruity elements. Overall just tastes to me like twizzlers and hard candy.

Bottle at The Others Tasting, London - many thanks to Jack, tha man with the Florida connections. Pours lightly cloudy brown with a good, tan cream head. Big fruit aroma, some raisins, plums, figs - other jammy fruits. Big sweet flavor with ripe fruits, light dry and leathery fruits, more raisins, dark cherries, light chocolate and earth, brown sugar, plums. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish with rich and sugary bread, more jammy fruits, alcohol, light dry yeast, raisins. Really delicious beer.

Bottle shared by a friend. Hazy brown pour with a thick tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, apple chocolate and booze. Malty and caramelly flavor with boozy finish that carries a slight dryness.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle @ THE Others Tasting. Cheers to crosamich for tracking this down for me. The pour’s deep reddish brown with a small off-white head. The aroma’s big, sweet empire apple, fruit by the foot candy. General spiced fruitcake. Robust strawberry preserve. The taste is similar. Bright spicy apple sauce, sweet caramelized cherry. Chewy malts, some nougat and caramel. More candy snack sweet notes on the full, slightly hot finish. Big body, a bit oily. Overall, a sweet, if enjoyable, beer. Nice fruity profile. It’s not super complex, but certainly quite tasty.

750ml big thanks to omegax - you da man, Jordan!
Muddy copper brew with a slight tan head. Nose is complex and decadent - dark fruits, vanilla, oak, brandy, brown sugar sweetness. ABV is there but very well hidden - layers of flavor. Creamy, caramel, toffee, woody, brandy, so much going on. Another crazy well done Barely Wine from CCB.

Nice dark brown pour, deep tan head. Lots of sweet malt up front, the barrels turned down the hops a bit. Brandy notes, raisins, prunes, toffee. Damn good!

Bottle thanks to Jack at THE others tasting. It pours cloudy deep brown with a small light tan head. The nose is dark fruit, jam, sweet over-ripe apple, blackcurrant, caramel, wood, vanilla and toasted coconut. The taste is toast, wood, varnish, cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, apple brandy, leather, caramel, spice, jam and nice bitter bite with a warming finish. Full body, moderate carbonation and sticky-mouth-feel. Tasty and well-balanced.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thanks Mac, big want of mine for awhile. Ugly as sin; mediocre aroma as brandy barrels dominate. Oaky, strongly boozy, brandy, figs & grapes, hops, malt, raisins, lots more booze on the back side. Barrels and booze dominate the flavor profile far more than I like. I see how many would love this, but it's not for me.
