Draft at Hunaphu Day. Deep ruby pour with a tan head. Big sweet apple brandy aroma, toast, caramel with hints of spices. Smooth thick body with flavors similar to the aroma yet more refined. Though it is sweet I really enjoyed it and punded my whole glass.

Hunahpu pour #2. Murky brown with kahki cream head. Aroma is awesome. Vanilla, sweet brown sugar, apple, biscuts. Flavor is like nothing i have had. Corton candy, toffee, biscuts, and vanilla. Medium heavy mouthfeel with low to medium carbonation. Neat beer. A bit sweet and that sweet lingers for a good while.

Thanks to markwise for shipping me this 75cl bottle so that I can share it with 77ships, sebletitje and adamjackson and also with some of the Delirium Hoppy Loft staff (the day after Cigar City head brewer Wayne was here and luckily didn’t have a Leon with him to share as well). The 75cl bottle pours murky amber with a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up rich notes of brown sugar coated prunes and ripe red apples as well as caramel sweetness mixing with booze and Brandy. The taste is rich and deep with brown sugar notes, a pleasing kettle like caramelization, prunes and sweet earthy dates. It then moves into smooth sweet boozy Brandy notes and some barrel character. The whole beer comes together to attain an amazing Barrel Aged English style Barleywine experience. Another terrific sipper for sure. Love it.

THE Others tasting. Thanks to Jack for this one. Murky dark red - brown beer. Residual pale tan head. Smooth palate, soft and a little dry. Good fine carbonation. Caramel toffee malt out muscled by spicy alcohol which includes the apple brandy. Semi dry finish. Overall quite a brandyish beer but all right.

Bottle shared at RBWG! Pours a murky reddish brown with little to no lacing or head. Aroma of sweet caramel and toffee, a hint of candied sugar, and booze. Taste is awesome, spices, ginger, dark fruits, toffee, sweet brandy, and a bit of booze. Thick and sticky on the mouth with a bit of warmth on the way down. Cigar City makes some of the best barley wines I have ever had.
