THE Others tasting. Thanks to Jack for this one. Murky dark red - brown beer. Residual pale tan head. Smooth palate, soft and a little dry. Good fine carbonation. Caramel toffee malt out muscled by spicy alcohol which includes the apple brandy. Semi dry finish. Overall quite a brandyish beer but all right.

Mahogany pour with a small off-white head. Interesting nose to this. Tons of banana, brandy, and vanilla. A heavy dose of brown sugar, lots of alcohol, some toast, and a bit of wood. The flavor is a bit harsh and boozy. Lots of brandy, some wood, vanilla, and sweet malt. A mild bitterness, some burnt sugar, toffee, and hints of dark fruit. Could use a bit of balance and less alcohol.

Nose is dark toffee, wood, booze, sugars, dark fruits, dates, brandy notes, treacle toffee. Taste comprises booze steeped dark fruits, brown sugars, woody tones, dates, prunes, boozey sticky toffee pudding. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the finish. A complex barley wine that is well balanced, the brandy is pretty subtle, decent stuff!
