Bottle at The Others Tasting, London - many thanks to Jack, tha man with the Florida connections. Pours lightly cloudy brown with a good, tan cream head. Big fruit aroma, some raisins, plums, figs - other jammy fruits. Big sweet flavor with ripe fruits, light dry and leathery fruits, more raisins, dark cherries, light chocolate and earth, brown sugar, plums. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish with rich and sugary bread, more jammy fruits, alcohol, light dry yeast, raisins. Really delicious beer.

Oct 2015 - Keg at Route CBC event, Clapham. As ’Cigar City Leon’. Very dark brown, big foamy brown head. Aroma is molasses, bacon, soy sauce, the brandy influence is light. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is molasses, chocolate, raisin, oaky dry finish with some booze showing up. Sweet, sweet, and sweet.

On tap at CBC15. Dark brown with orange-beige head. Aroma has sweet malt, heavy caramel, bourbon, dried fruit, plums, sweet chocolate and woody barrel notes. Taste is sweet, caramel, barrel, apple, fruit, prunes, raisins, toffee and alcohol.

Bottle shared at the 10th Annual Epic & Unusual Beer Tasting, 11/29/15. Hazy dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, wood, earth, mild brandy. The taste is toffee, raisin, caramel, mild brandy. Medium bodied, hot.

Murky brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, figs, raisin, hints of vanilla, toasted oak, warming brandy alcohol with a touch of baked apples. Taste is very sweet without getting cloying, very soft bitter, warming alcohol. Finish is sweet, burnt sugar, hints of vanilla, dried fruits, hints of licorice, warming brandy alcohol. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, sticky, creamy texture.
Great BA Barley wine!

On tap at Craft Covent Garden, black dark brown colour lasting thin tan head. Some barrel age. Again it’s a big beer. Unsubtle. Mostly just huge and overwhelming. Some barley wine character kicks in. Just a bit aggressive for me. Sone apple.

Big dark fruit character in the aroma, lots of raisin, sticky malt. Dark blackish brown pour, light brown head. Super rich and sweet, lots of dark fruit, raisins in the flavor. Very tasty.

CBC 2015. Pours caramel with a low tan head. Aromas of caramel, molasses, roasted oak, figs, dates and raisins. Mouthfeel is caramel, roasted oak, figs, dates, ripe apple, molasses and raisins. Mouthfeel is smooth and somewhat oily with low carbonation and medium body. Very good!
