4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Nitro draft at Caliente’s in Pittsburgh. One of the best browns I’ve enjoyed and possibly THE best. The vanilla is a nice added touch.

One of my favorites from CCB. Pours brown with a medium white head. Aromas of vanilla take over and drag you into tasting it. First sip is killer with a beautiful symphony of vanilla and choc oats. Amazing brew.

Yum. A delicious brown ale infused with just the right amount of vanilla. Rich brown ale flavors of honey and roasted malts with a hint of vanilla. A really solid combination.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap. Not much head, but good lacing. Aroma was rich with notes of vanilla and maple. Creamy on the palate, drinks very smooth. The hints of vanilla are enough to taste, but not overpowering. Finishes clean, with hops just discernible. A very well balanced beer, and one that I will return to as often as I can find.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured at Brass Tap. RATING#800. Incredible beer. Pours red-amber with a small off-white head. Nose is some tobacco, malt, and some sugar with mellow vanilla cruising throughout this incredible beer. Flavor is toasted malt, tobacco, mellow vanilla, and bits of caramel. Like the Espresso Maduro, the Vanilla sings along in harmony, but does not overly dominate any of the sonata. I loved this beer. Body was light to medium, and the finish was a nice blend of sweet vanilla, very mild bitter, and malts.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Brass tap. Murky brown, thin head. Immediately chocolate nose, then i realized it was the vanilla and dark malts melding to create this vanilla/chocolate ice cream nose. Flavors of smoke, vanilla, some roast, tobacco, cocoa, earth and mild bitterness. Has that signature, full body that all CCB beers have. Excellent offering! I could drink this all night.

So wonderful to find this one on draught at Cigar City Brewing (Tampa, FL): Pours amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted vanilla bean, soft maple syrup rather than caramel, bitter coffee bean, oak wood, and lots of roasted bitters. Flavors are similar. You can really bite into that malt. Thin body, thick tastes. Alcohol hidden well. Drinkability: Simply put, it’s the taste of swagger. Rebuy: Yes. #252 on 23012010, DG.

Growler from CCB.This stuff is great, its my favorite flavored Maduro so far. The vanilla is definitely but its not over powering.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The aroma of sweet vanilla soda to sum it up. The appearance is rich, dark, and clear with a creamy decent head. The flavor of vanilla and smoky notes on top of a crisp brown ale. It is very smooth, the kind you could drink for a while.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2011 On tap with Joey Redner at Blind Tiger. Pours a deep amber brown color with an off white foam head. Has an aroma of vanilla, caramel, and slight roast. Has a thin to medium mouthfeel. Has a sweet start with a sugary caramel taste, heavy vanilla notes and a nice gentle bitter hit. This would be a great session brew.
1/23/2010. On Cask from WF Bowery. Flat and creamier than its tap bretheren. Vanilla is a bit more subdued.
