Super fizzy out of the bottle. Some cigar notes, as suggested. Glad to see Tampa broducing noteworthy beers. Added as part of a pick-a-six at Publix. I’ll give it an extra point for palate.

Can. Pours a light brown looking brown in the glass. Medium sized diminishing head, lightly tanned. Aroma is toasted, bready malts. Caramel, nuts, light chocolate and hints of dried fruits. Very nice. Taste is very well balanced. Sweet caramelly malts, a light fruity touch and a subtly bitter finish. Body is medium, mouthfeel slick and co2 avg.

Fine tan head, dark brown near clear body with ruby tones, various crocheted carpets inside the mug, or almost no lacing. Aroma; fruity malts, grassy fresh hops, wort, raisin, dark sweet syrup. Taste; juicy hops, fruity malts, raisin-prune and kvass influence, leading to a not too longlasting fruity finish. Normal feel, fruity average body, somewhat fizzy carbonation, tasty and moreish. Appearance: clear dark brown, with a finger of bubbly light tan head and decent lacing. Aroma: good nose full of chocolate, molasses, brown leather, pipe tobacco, roasted nuts, and just a hint of earth. Taste: as the aroma indicates; slightly sweet with tasty brown bread, dark brown sugar, roasty coffee, a hint of milk chocolate, roasted nuts. Finish: finishes a bit leathery, with chocolate and molasses hanging on, but balanced by earthy hops and drying nicely, making for a near-perfect palate. Notes: Superlative brown ale; a new favorite. Had this all over Disney during the family vacation.

Can from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, consumed at home, Merton, Sunday 14th December 2014. Dark brown, in fact chestnut in colour with a large creamy small bubbled light beige head, good clarity with occasional ruby glints. Chocolate on nose, soft carbonation, some chocolate in mouth and a little weak, watery coffee. It’s ok, but no great shakes. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

355 ml can from Ammersin 5, Vienna, canned 08/08/14.
Dark copper/brown body, with a medium, creamy, dark beige head, that quickly dissipates completely.
Aroma is a lot of hazelnut, bread, melting chocolate, some coffee, some dark fruits.
Tastes of coffee, nuts, chocolate, dark fruits, subtle fruity hops.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation.
Finishes quite smooth, roasty, a bit dry, a bit wooden.

Really nice! Full, quite roasty, but smooth and with lovely nutty malts. Although I enjoyed the smell more, the taste is also nice, well balanced and just light bodied enough for a great drinkability. Overall not the best Brown Ale I’ve had, but one that I would gladly drink again.
