COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hearty brown ale that benefits from the silky mouthfeel provided by oatmeal, pairs great with Cigars.

Super fizzy out of the bottle. Some cigar notes, as suggested. Glad to see Tampa broducing noteworthy beers. Added as part of a pick-a-six at Publix. I’ll give it an extra point for palate.

Can shared by supperhopped. Pours a transparent brown with beige head. Taste and aroma of nuts and toast.

Deep mahogany beer with a rich creamy beige head. Nose of burnt nuts, dark caramel, and toast. Flavor is is closer to a porter than a brown ale with the primary flavors coming from toasted grain. Then some nutty flavors emerge, but they are masked by the roast. Finally, a bit of bitterness hits that lingers into the aftertaste. Good beer that was quite a bit better at the brewery than out of the can I’m drinking from.

12-oz can. Thanks, M! Pours a cloudy medium ebony with a dense and creamy light tan head. Big sweet molasses and brown bread nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Brown bread and molasses mid palate. Mild finish. A little sweet, but very drinkable.

Rcvd in person trade with Black Cloud (BA name). This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice brown color with a small white head that quickly dissipated and didn’t leave any lacing. The smell had a really nice roasty/nutty sweetness carrying through into a light milk chocolate. Light coffee and espresso does end up coming out eventually. The taste was sweet and roasty through all of the previously mentioned flavors. On the palate, this one sat about a medium in body with a slight sessionable aspect about it. I do have to say, that this has got to be one of the smoothest and silkiest Brown ales of just how it rolls so smoothly over my tongue. Overall, hot damn, if I could get this on a regular basis I would and you know this could be quite possibly the best beer I’ve had by Cigar City. Yes, I like this one more than Jai Alai. Wow, is all I have to say.

Ale is a nice brown color with a small foam cap. It fades to just a wispy veil. Sweet smelling maltiness over a decent hop bill. Tastes of sweet breads to start followed by coffee and espresso flavors ending with a hint of chocolate. Decent hop taste that doesn’t interfere with the malts. Hops are there just for the bittering aspect I think. Silky smooth and nicely balanced beer. Full bodied. I think it lacks a bit on the appearance side, it needs a bit more foamy action. Otherwise good, real good.

Excellent flavor with superb body. No bite. It does pour pretty flat with no head, but it is delicious.
