3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: More coffee and toffee than normally in a brown ale. A little metalic note.
A; Looks perfect for a brown ale: dark brown in color with a nice creamy tan head. Excellent retention.
T: A good caramel toffee note. Cream note. Milky. Goes down easy but with some good flavor.
P: Creamy with a medium body. Metalic finish reminds me of a porter.
Great showing for a brown ale. Brings some flavors that remind me of a porter but a little more.... chewy? A little too sweet in parts but very nice.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Restrained aroma in a reddish-black pour. Huge malt body makes this an excellent contrast to the popular hop-bomb IPAs.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours very dark red with tan head. Peach aromas, fruity. Even more fruity flavours, roasted coffee too, rather sweetish (heavy sweet), loads of caramel. Dense in that aspect. Oily, fairly long finish; peculiar.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured can. Clear brown in the glass. Nicely formed head. Nose is milk chocolate. Palate is all about the roast. Sticky milk chocolate, caramel, some cream in there. Even and steady front to back. I would have enjoyed a little more bite, but decent.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Cigar City. Pours watery deep amber brown with thin creamy off-white head that fades quickly. Aroma is rich roasty malt, a hint of caramel. Blindfolded I’d call this a porter. Taste is roasty caramel malt, paired with a thin body, solid depth of roast throughout, lots of leather and oak in a relatively thin body. Does make me want a cigar as well, so it has that going for it.
