Poured at Fruit in the Room, a brown ale that has coffee, oats, chocolate, nuts, and blueberry aromas. Taste mimics aromas, but not as much blueberry I was hoping for.

Re-entering older ratings.

Dark pour with ruby highlights. Aroma has chocolate, nuts, some light fruit and raisins with a touch of sugar cookie. Flavor is sweet and roasted malts, balanced but light. Not a punch of blueberry but it is noticable. Pretty good but I would have liked to see more blueberry pancake type flavor, for me. But for what it is, great effort.

tap at blind tiger - oatmeal raisin cookie, doughy malts, hint of fruits.. not much of blueberry though. pretty sweet, some nuttiness, aromatic but not all that fruity, IMO.

Tap at BT. Pours a nice deep woody brown with a nice white head. Aroma is blueberry muffins/pancake, slight syrupy fakeness to it with some nutty chocolate hints. Flavor is dusty chocolate, nutty, berry fruitiness, mineral, blueberry, light earthy note, dry finish with leather mineral and paper on the tongue. Ok.

Draft. Pours a bruin body with a tan head and light head retention. Bitter sweet up front, hints of coffee, oats, malty caramel and light sweetness. I was really looking for the blueberries they were very faint and light in the finish. I was surprised because a lot of other CCB treatments are much more prevalent. Still a good beer.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Almost identical to the normal Maduro. Nice nutty aroma with roasty malts and chocolate, medium bodied and very smooth. We left the beer out for quite a bit to warm up and eventually picked up some very faint blueberry notes.

Tap at Blind Tiger. I was convinced this was just regular Maduro. Delicious oatmeal brown with plenty of chocolate malt and no blueberry to be found. Tons of roast and no blueberry. I mean, it’s very good, but the treatment itself didn’t add anything. Cigar City is still the king of oatmeal browns!
