Pours a very cloudy, deep brown with a 1 finger head. Aromas of toffee, walnuts, maybe a whisp of chocolate. Taste is nutty, some light roast. Very creamy and slick mouthfeel. This may be the slickest beer I’ve ever come across. But where it fails to deliver is in the overall taste, it’s just too one dimensional and kind of boring. One redeeming quality is the dry finish. Not a world class beer, but if I got it again as a trade extra I would drink it again. Can’t remember who sent me this one, either smith4498 or my brother, but whoever it was, thanks.

Pours a nice Carmel brown with a small short lived lacy head. Malty overtones throughout. Nice balance in the mouth of carbonation without being distracting. Sweet malty Carmel chocolate coffee love. Yup, its all kinda there, although some more traditional brown ale drinkers may not enjoy it as much (sweet compared to bitter). Definitely would order this again.

Pours a dark brown on tap with nice tan head and good lacing. Aroma is malty, with roasted oat notes and a slight alcoholic linger. Taste is coffee and oats with a slight dark chocolate note in the end. Clean, smooth mouth with a well balanced flavor. One of the best american browns.

Pours a dark brown color with a one finger head that lasts. Aroma of sweet malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste follows the nose. Easy drinking but it has a different mouthfeel, it almost leaves a film in my mouth. It’s still really tasty, I really like this brew!

Ok I guess...I thought the aroma was unremarkable, the appearance average, the taste was present, uninteresting, and a bit flat,. Unfortunately, not a great example of the style in my opinion. Look elsewhere, even if you’re pairing it with a cigar. I’d rather drink Newcastle.
