A hearty brown ale that benefits from the silky mouthfeel provided by oatmeal, pairs great with Cigars.

Bottle. Aroma is sweet malts, dark chocolate and coffee. Notes of cedar, aged tobacco leaf and some american hops stand out. The body is much lighter than expected. Flavor is a little sweet. Impressive, but not mot imkpressive.

Can from wines, beers and more naples florida. Pours deep brown. Tan foam head which didn’t last. Aroma is hazelnut, chocolate, earth, nuts and little leather. Flavour is dry earth, nuts, wood with dry finish. Highly carbonated and light bodied.

Old rating rerated 15.10.2014, 0,35l can @ hotel room in Berlin:
Big slightly fizzy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, caramel malts, nuts, dark sugar, chocolate, hay, "knekk", coffee, roasted grain. Taste is slightly dry roasted, nuts, roasted grain, hay, caramel malts, grass, minerals, coffee, chocolate. Little bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough. Pretty basic and boring, that’s all...

Can. Pours hazy deep amber mahogany with big frothy beige head, that settles nicely to one finger. Aroma is malts, toffee and dried fruits, some nuts and milky chocholate too. Slight burnt sugar. Taste is not as dense as aroma. Sweet, but has a pleasent fruityness and some nuts. Medium silky body with smooth and creamy carbonation. I do catch some wood. Finish is dry toasty and crisp.

Molasses flavor is a bit strong for my taste, but other than that, this is a good brown ale

"nice for the style, but under average for the brewer. make sense? nice rich malty, almost nutty sweet aroma. the flavor has a little more to it than most 5% beers. more sweet than anything else, but a little bit of roast and hops in there as well. good brown."

From a can bought at World Market. Pour a coffee black with a thin tan head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, oats, malt. Taste is almost the nose with a lovable hoppiness. Ends with a slick mouth feel. I wish I had a 5 Vegas Maduro to pair. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Pours a cloudy brown color with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, molasses and brown sugar. Taste follows the nose and is a tad sweet. Medium body, creamy, low carb, light finish. Very good.
