12oz bottle. Have had this one a couple times now. It pours into a glass a browish red clear color. with a small head the left quickly. The smell is bitter sweet chocolate with a oatmeal smell finish. the taste is sweet on the front with a bitter roasty almost coffee like after taste. Nicely balanced with a nice bitter after taste that makes you want another sip. Not too much going on going on in this beer but it is still a very nice drinking beer. On to the next one!!!!!!!

From a can bought at World Market. Pour a coffee black with a thin tan head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, oats, malt. Taste is almost the nose with a lovable hoppiness. Ends with a slick mouth feel. I wish I had a 5 Vegas Maduro to pair. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Pours a cloudy brown color with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, molasses and brown sugar. Taste follows the nose and is a tad sweet. Medium body, creamy, low carb, light finish. Very good.

Can into a tulip. Deep brown with a slight orange tinge. Almost no head. Chocolate, some sweet molasses. Slight dry bitterness, quite sweet. Very smooth, medium heavy body. Lightly effervescent. Very nice, ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Full-bodied roasted chocolate tasting beer. Dark and delicious. Cigar city excellent as usual!

Can at a bottle share. Pours a hazy brown color. Nose is slightly nutty with some slight caramel, though I find the aroma to be fairly light. Taste is lightly toasty and slightly nutty, and quite smooth. Not bad.

Deep mahogany beer with a rich creamy beige head. Nose of burnt nuts, dark caramel, and toast. Flavor is is closer to a porter than a brown ale with the primary flavors coming from toasted grain. Then some nutty flavors emerge, but they are masked by the roast. Finally, a bit of bitterness hits that lingers into the aftertaste. Good beer that was quite a bit better at the brewery than out of the can I’m drinking from.

A nice brown ale. Big notes of coffee, Some molasses. One of the better brown ales that I have had, I would drink again.

I like this on tap but im not a fan of it in a can. Overall I’d say its a higher end brown ale

12-oz can. Thanks, M! Pours a cloudy medium ebony with a dense and creamy light tan head. Big sweet molasses and brown bread nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Brown bread and molasses mid palate. Mild finish. A little sweet, but very drinkable.
