I’ve gotta give this on credit for taste. The heat is far from unbearable, I feel it makes for a quite refreshing change of pace. It is drastically noticable but not for the entire sip. I’d liken the ’off the beaten path’ factor to LH’s new Pepper porter. It’s big, in your face, and surprisingly good.

On cask at Cigar City 3 Feb. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Nose is malt, some earthy pepper, slight pepper heat, and a bit of fruit. Flavor is similar with a bit of bite to it, although not lasting. Mango is mild as is the IPA; the peppers are the shiners here. Interesting flavor combinations.

Tap at CCB. Pours orange with a thick white head. Lots of pepper aroma with touches of fruit. Taste is burning habanero pepper with light notes of fruit and hops popping through. Tasty, but puts a hurting on your tongue.

On draft at Cigar City pours a light orange, almost a lightly colored habanero orage color. Aromas of spicy pepper, and that is about it. Flavor is all pepper with no trace of mango. The hot pepper is hotter than the ragin well spoken cajun cayenne flavor and destroyed my palate.

Pours golden orange with no head. Nose is green pepper and some hot pepper and sweet malts. Flavor is spicy pepper and no mango at all. Pretty unappealing and undrinkable.
