3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at Rattle n Hun, NYC. The appearance is a cloudy orange, white head. The aroma is tropical fruit, caramel, light citrus hops. The flavor is also more citrus, and fruity. The finish is a grapefruit/citrus bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium/thick body, oily. Not as good as the Papaya IPA, but good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler, courtesy dchmela. Pours a clear, dark golden-amber hue with a small, foamy, ivory colored head. A sudsy wash leaves behind jagged flares of lacing. As expected, the nose is majorly tropical, showing bright notes of mango, grapefruit, and orange, along with a good amount of hop resin, all over a malt base of sweet toffee and toasted bread. Flavors follow suit, showing great balance between the crisp, juicy, mango and citrus hop flavors and the sweet, slightly buttery toffee. It might be a little sweeter than the base Jai Alai IPA, but it delves deeper with its fruit profile. The palate is medium-plus in heft, balanced in carbonation, and smooth. It’s a shade on the wet side for how I like my IPA’s, but it’s a negligible flaw. Delicious stuff.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft at CCB Tasting Room Reopening. Pours typical Jai Alai yellow-orange with a sparse, white head. Nose is citrus, hops, slight pine, and a fruity mango-ness. Flavor is typical Jai Alai with notes of mango. not the sweetness of overripe mangoes, but the sweetness of the mango takes over for some of the hops. I enjoyed the peach and papaya a bit more.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler from ibrew2or3. Pours a orange golden with whispy beige head. Nose is pretty light on agressive aromas, but it is fruity...peach, pineapple, mango, bready with some caramel grassiness. Mouth feel is crisp with some body to it and prickly carb. Caramel bread with not much fruit flavor and the hops are pretty much just bitter with no resinous levels of flavor. Thanks Dave!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler from the brewery. Nice goldern copper pour. Very aggressive hops, mango, citrus aroma. Taste is big bitterness, lots of hops. Not a sweet mango, but much more a hoppy ipa with mango, good stuff.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From growler pouring copper with gold edges and modest white head. The aroma is full of sweet tropical fruit notes with lesser amounts of sharp citrus hops, spicy hops and a sweet malt backbone. The taste has a pleasing spicy to near pine to citrus hop bite quickly followed by late boil addition flavor hops and a thin layer of sweet tropical fruitiness. I have to say the last batch of Jai Alai was very good. The hops pop with bitter and flavor hop balance and are held up firmly by a sweet maltiness. This is the hoppiness I really enjoy. Excellent improvement here Wayne. I would be interested to see the Mango treatment with more contact time. As it is now the Jai Alai yumminess swallows up the Mango leaving only tasty hints here and there.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler courtesy of dchmela. Pours golden with an off-white head. Nose light mango, fruity with citrusy hop nose. Flavor is citrusy hops, tropical fruit, malty middle, some astringency towards the finish with a nice bitter close. Medium mouthfeel, dry. The mango was pretty restrained here, wish it came across more.
