From growler pouring copper with gold edges and modest white head. The aroma is full of sweet tropical fruit notes with lesser amounts of sharp citrus hops, spicy hops and a sweet malt backbone. The taste has a pleasing spicy to near pine to citrus hop bite quickly followed by late boil addition flavor hops and a thin layer of sweet tropical fruitiness. I have to say the last batch of Jai Alai was very good. The hops pop with bitter and flavor hop balance and are held up firmly by a sweet maltiness. This is the hoppiness I really enjoy. Excellent improvement here Wayne. I would be interested to see the Mango treatment with more contact time. As it is now the Jai Alai yumminess swallows up the Mango leaving only tasty hints here and there.

Growler courtesy of dchmela. Pours golden with an off-white head. Nose light mango, fruity with citrusy hop nose. Flavor is citrusy hops, tropical fruit, malty middle, some astringency towards the finish with a nice bitter close. Medium mouthfeel, dry. The mango was pretty restrained here, wish it came across more.

On tap at CCB. Pours a generally clear dark orange amber with a thin white foamy head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of ripe fresh fruit, apricots, pine, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, hops, some faint spice. Flavor is also sweet and floral with stronger floral hops notes, pine, apricots, citrus, grapefruit, some faint spice and tropical fruit. Silky smooth mouthfeel with a bitter hoppy finish. Well balanced IPA, but the fruit was more in the background on this one.

A: Light amber hue. Nice tall white head with great lace. S: Very much citrus like the regular IPA. Very mild notes of caramel and tropical fruit. T: Citrus hops for sure. The mango play second fiddle big time with only mild tropical notes. The malt character from the regular Jai Alai is there for balance. Wish it had a bit more fruit. M: Medium in body, smooth D: Pretty darn good. Would like it even more if it was not 40 degrees outside.

Growler. Poured a golden amber with a medium to thin off white head. Nose is caramel malt, piney hops, and tropical fruit. Not sure I would identify the fruit esters I get as mango but definitely tropical fruit. Medium bodied with a crisp mouth feel and soft carbonation. Flavor is bitter, earthy hops with some residual caramel sweetness and tropical fruit. I think the papaya treatment prevails over this one. Finishes moderately bitter with tropical fruit notes.
