Tap at RnH. Pours a hazed cloudy peachy orange with a thinning head. Aroma is green mango slight vegetal, citrus, orange juice, earth. Flavor is earth dank hops, mint, then more juicy mango puree, juicy amarillo fruitiness and dusty earth with a muddled finish. Ok.

Entering old rates. Draft @ CCB Fruit in the Room 2010.

Notes, RNH cask. I enjoyed the balance of tropical fruit, light citrus and pine hops with a bit of resin and sticky green. Pour from cask was nice too, mellow carbonation and really drinkable. Not an overload of mango but got that hint of tropical fruit flavor.

Cask at Rattle n Hum. Poured very cloudy dark amber. Sweet mango nose and nice mango notes and solid hops. Some sweetness with a decent finish. Very drinkable for 7.5 percent. A nice change in an India Pale Ale.

Draft at the Fruit in the Room party at Cigar City. Pours a mostly clear, dark golden orange color and topped by a small white head of foam that settles quickly to a thin film. Some sudsy lacing is left behind on the glass. The aroma is very tropical in nature showing fresh mango, orange, and grapefruit all over a toasted toffee and sweet bread malt base to go along with ample hop bitterness. The flavor follows suit and strikes a nice balance between the bright, juicy mango, orange, and grapefruit hops and the sweet, toasted toffee malt base. This one is a touch a sweeter with a much bigger tropical fruit character than the base Jai Alai. Medium bodied, smooth with balanced carbonation that leads to a slightly dry and bitter citrus hop finish. This is a really nice addition to the base Jai Alai ipa. Good stuff.

Tap at Rattle N Hum. Another fairly muddy orange pour. The nose is a bit tropical and slightly sweet. Lots of bright mango character and bright tropical hoppiness. It is subtly different from the papaya (less vegetal) but it’s pretty similar overall.

On Cask. Hazy amber golden pour with some white head. Citrus, pine and fruity mango aroma. Flavor follows but mango is only slight.

Cask @ Rattle n’ Hum, NYC. Pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is pine hops, a bit of wood, slight yeast, and a little mango thrown in as well. Taste is an interesting combination of the fruity sweetness and the pine hop bitterness - with a lingering mango finish that melds nicely with the hops. Mouthfeel is smooth, alcohol barely noticeable. I liked it.
