COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Imperial Stout is dedicated to George Zhukov, arguably one of the finest generals of World war II. Opaque black in color, with notes of espresso, chocolate, dark toffee and hints of black strap molasses. The English hop varietals provide a subtle herbal dryness, and finishes with a hearty slap of roasty espresso. Pair Marshal Zhukov with Mushroom Solyanka, dark chocolate, cherries and ground wars in Russia.

Handbottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Comes as "Cigar City Four Roses Barrel Aged Marshal Zhukovís Imperial Stout". Pours pitch, pitch black with a tiny brown head. Hard roast in the nose but the sweet vanilla notes dominate - brown licorice allsorts. Very solid body, hardly any carbonation, pours thick and syrupy - motormoil almost. Again sweet Bourbon notes, vanilla and dark fruits. Some alcohol heat in the finish. 270411

black, thin red-brown head. Sugary, bit of rotten fruit and coffee, light vanilla and oak. Flavor has more coffee, burnt notes, chocolate. Very sweet, pruney nose, heavy sugar. Bit overly ashy and stinging sugars, but there is more balance here than most ccb.

On Draft at Hunahpuís Day. This was the íFour Rosesí version. Pours black with little to no head. Aroma is chocolate malt, bourbon, vanilla, molasses, and coffee. the taste is bourbon, molasses, dark chocolate, burnt wood, and vanilla. Full body with great head. This is awesome...very comparable to Double Barrel Zhukovs.

Growler: The aroma consists of chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, and espresso. It pours a dark brown, virtually black, with almost no head and lots of legs on yje sides of the glass. The flavor starts with lots of chocolate and caramel. The finish has moderate bourvon, coffee, and vanilla. Full bodied with minimal carbonation and a somewhat oily mouthfeelm

[ Courtesy of cgarvieuk ]. Clear dark black color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige to light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, light coffee, cedar - wood, alcohol - bourbon, licorice notes. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, dark malt. Bottle from Craig at Jan & Charlottes 09.04.11 cheers Jan & Charlotte Pours black with a brown head and with oil slicks lacing steadily down the inside of the glass. The aroma is straightforward it is bourbon. Flavours of smooth dark chocolate, with a smooth coffee roastedness. Really warming beer from the alcohol but this side of it came across as a bit harsh. Well crafted Iím sure but not totally my thing. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7

Reviewed from notes. On tap at the Hunahpuís release. Pours near black with a very thin mocha head that recedes quickly with some pretty good legs. The nose is fairly strong bourbon along with chocolate, coffee, roast, and a bit of booze. Taste melds the original beerís character with bourbon quite well. Feel is pretty thick with some booze. Not as good as the BA versions of Hunahpuís bit still quite tasty. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 11-08-2010

Handbottle. Thanks Craig. Pours black with a few bubbles on top. Sweet and vinous nose. Quite complex. Roast, oak, soy and bourbon. Oily and slick. A sipper . . Nice

Draft... Hunahpuís Day (2011)Ö This beer rocks!Ö Tar black ale pours like 100,000 mile motor oil with a mid-sized, creamy, light brown head that never even thinks about scattering. Deep, dark chocolate and Cuban espresso are the true standouts in the aroma, although slighter notes of vanilla and cinnamon are definitely in the mix. Rich, robust and authoritative is the nose on this baby. Full-bodied and super velvety with gentle carbonation. The flavor is bittersweet and provides a shit-ton of burnt, bitter, black malt and carbonaceous/caramelized sweetness. In simpler terms, this ambrosia tastes like a campfire-roasted marshmallow when you get a little overzealous and literally set that bad boy on fire, blow out the flames, and then eat it. Delicious. Bittersweet, mocha, charcoal finish. World class stuff!
