Pours incredibly thick and black with without a doubt the darkest head I’ve ever seen on a stout. Leaves some lacing and recedes to a wispy cap and ring.
Aroma is really rich deep dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, espresso and gourmet coffee, dark fruits, rum-soaked raisins, figs, dates, anise, molasses, hint of smoke. Good to very good strength.
Flavor is espresso, serious coffee, dark chocolate, raisins, figs, burnt roasted malts, smoke, anise, molasses, caramel, toffee, fairly sweet, alcohol is there but fits in perfectly for a beer of this size. Unbelievably rich and complex.
Mouthfeel is full-on full-bodied, thick, chewy, sticky, eat it with a fork. Perfect.
Freakin’ fantastic. This is right up my alley. The thicker the better when it comes to Imperial Stouts...I find Ten FIDY to be a little to thin for my tastes...this one delivers. So rich. So complex. Tons of espresso and chocolate as well as boatloads of overripe dark fruits. My only bottle...I will cherish and savor this one and hope to land more in the future.

Pours black with a very dark brown head.
Aroma is chocolate, prune, dark toffee.
Flavour is oily, bitter ash, prune, chocolate.
Sticky and heavy.
Really nice.

Bottle @ S&B#2. Pours blacker than black with a good lacing and mostly lasting brown medium head. Aroma is chocolate, hops, flowery, roasted malt, fruit, red berries, espresso, molasses and candy. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter.
Body is full, texture is syrup, carbonation is soft. Finish is very sweet, flowery and alcoholic.

Bottle share at DLD. Chocolate, prune, and molasses aroma. Viscous black with a large tan head. Dark chocolate, molasses, prune, light acidic, and ash flavor. Full thick creamy body.

A - pours opaque mahogany with low super dark mocha head. S - aromas of strong fantastic rich stout. Espresso, dark chocolate, raw cacao, toasted malts. Hints of smoke, cinnamon. M - rich fluffy mf. Full palate. Creamy and rounded. Long lasting rich ending. T - espresso, tangy raw cacao come on strong. Tangy espresso, molasses, toasted toffee on the palate. Long rich toffee, espresso end. Hints of smoke. O - very good imp stout. 4.2

Bottle. Pours pitch motor oil black with a nice dark brown head that left some lacing. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and had a hint of vanilla. Flavor was dark chocolate, roasted coffee, roasted malts, molasses, caramel, and vanilla. Full bodied with a sticky/syrupy texture and had a nice warming alcohol finish.

From a bomber. pours black with a foamy burgundy brown head. Tastes like sweet sour prunes, dates, figs. Smells really sour. Medium body and medium carbonation

Bottle. Pours opaque black with average, creamy tan head; decent retention and lacing. Aroma is booze, roasted malts, caramel, vanilla, plums, raisins, spicy hops, and light earthy notes. Flavor is sweet and roasted malts forward with supporting dark fruit esters, vanilla, oak, booze, and light earthy hops; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Chewy stout. Very roasty. Great mouthfeel. Balanced stout flavor -- coffee nor chocolate are readily apparent, but hints come thru every now and again. ABV incredibly well hidden.

2013 bottle. Sampled this immediately after a Huna which I did not enjoy. Both had an olive flavor which was very strange.
