Flavor of malts, rich chocolate, brown sugar, caramel, rum, oak, vanilla, cigarbox, cedar, ripe dried fruit, raisins. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Sweet, but very nice stout. 030513

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of licorice, toffee, raw sugar, raisins, soy, chocolate and leather. Taste is light sweet and medium to high bitter with notes of raisins, chocolate, wood and vanilla. Full bodied with low carbonation. Awesome mouthfeel.

Bottle at CBC. Pitch black with a frothy, quickly diminishing head. Complex, intense nose of alcohol, chocolate, coffee, dried plums, soy sauce, vanilla, farfars cigarkasse. Heavy sweet, heavy bitter, very vineous with strong tobacco notes, soft to flat carbonation, oily texture and a lingering bitter finish. Nice, but only drinkable (for me, anyway) in small amounts.

Pours black with low oily tan head. Aroma of raisins, figs, vanilla, chocolate, light coffee, brown sugar. Taste is a sweetness bomb! Port cask, raisins, corinthians, coffee, brown sugar. Body is full and creamy with low carbonation.

Pours dark red color with a small head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, some bourbon, vanilla and chocolate. Flavour of dark berries, roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon and vanilla. Very nice.

Pours pitch black with a tiny head. Aroma of sweet roasty malts, wood, alcohol and molasses. Taste is smooth, slicky and sweetish with some roastiness, molasses and syrup. Finish is warming and smooth. Nice, balanced is.

750 ml bottle @ CBC2013. Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, salty licorice and bread. Flavour is rather heavy with roasted malts, licorice, soy sauce, bread and some bitterness. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a long, warming, salty finish. Great.
