Neils Bohr was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1885. His contributions to our understanding of the physical world have made him one of Denmark’s most famous citizens and one of the 20th century’s most influential scientists. In 1922, Bohr was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics “for his services in the investigation of the structure of atoms and of the radiation emanating from them.” A prolific scientific collaborator, Bohr mentored many of the great scientific minds of the 20th century.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Cph.
Pours completely black with a ring of beige foam. Aroma has mild liqourice, dark chocolate, light roasted malts. Light carbonation, super creamy palate. Flavour has liqourice, lots of dark fat chocolate, some liqourice root, herbal notes. Nice graininess with a mild astringent feel at the end. Yum.

Thanks to Sean9689. Thanks for many things, but thanks in particular for this one. Served in a Captain Lawrence tulip. Pours a dark brown color with an average mocha head and some spotty lacing on the way down. Good enough for a 4 in my book. The nose brings some strong chocolate and roast along with a bit of wood and some spice. The flavor adds in more of that spice and blends it with the chocolate, roast, and coffee quite well. Mouthfeel is pretty full and creamy and has a smooth finish. Very well done. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 05-25-2011

Big thanks to Scott for the hook up on this! Pours black with a dark brown head that starts at the edges and dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of raisin with dark grains as well as a bit of dark chocolate. Flavor starts with dark fruits, dark grains and raisins. The finish brings out a bit of dark chocolate and a hint of alcohol.
