Aroma of sweet chocolate, dark chocolate, rich roasted malts, espresso, chili, roasted hazelnuts.
Modest carbonation and pungent mouthfeel.
Flavors of sour malts, bitter chocolate, milk chocolate, Mexican chocolate, burnt malts. Overall very bold and flavorful with some unique bitterness and sour notes atop lots of chocolate, spices, and raisins.

Taster from a bottle at the Grand Tasting at the RBNG-event at Fredrik 3.’s Hall. Dark brown coloured body. Lasting small tan-coloured head. Black coffee on the nose. Coffee and confectionery chocolate flavours offset by bitter liquorice added by a spicy touch. Full bodied and very smooth in the mouth. Lovely late drinking (Halden 15.02.2014).

Bottle, 75cl, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. A dark brown to black beer with a minimal sized dark beige head. The aroma has chocolate, coffee, dark dried fruits and some molasses. Alcohol notes. It’s full-bodied and warming, with a soft carbonation level. Caramel, dark chocolate, molasses and a pleasant bitterness. Roasted malts and coffee in the end. 3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ok, that does it. It’s time to call it a day. No more ratings for me this night, my palate is completely and utterly exhausted: I can’t really find any clear differences between Dirac and Bohr, other than a much lighter sourness in the Dirac. Apart from that Dirac has a black body, quickly disappearing brown head, very strong aroma and flavours, it’s dark roasted, and I get chocolate and coffee.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle picked up at Hunahpu Day 2011. Viscous black pour with light brown head. Aromas of roasted malts and dark fruits. Roasted malt, raisin and molasses flavors with some licorice. Full body with syrupy mouthfeel. This beer has come together nicely with a few years on it. Had side by side with Bohr. Very similar beers, but I like the Bohr a bit more.
