3/13/12. On tap at the brewery. Dark black pour with a small brown head that fades to a ring but sticks. Rich aroma of dark chocolate, roast, dark fruits, raisins, and a hint of sour. Even richer, sweeter flavor at first with tons of dark fruits in the middle followed by lingering dry roastiness. Very tasty.

Thick blackish red pour. Huge alcohol, dark fruit, spices and toffee aroma. Smooth chocolate body, dark fruit with a touch of spicy hops. Very big body, something to start off an evening and savor and not to finish. Very well done and complex.

Had this draft at CC Hanahpu day 2011. My notes seem to indicate the same vibe I got from the bottle of Bohr I just tried -- too sweet for my taste. I also noted that it was milky. It was a long day of drinking, so don’t quote me on this one.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2011
Draft... Hunahpu’s Day (2011)… This beer rocks!… Pours pitch black with a creamy, tan head. The aromatic stars-of-the-show are fudge, molasses, dark chocolate, candied dark fruits and a splash of espresso. Full-bodied and silky with soothing carbonation. The bittersweet flavor provides mocha, molasses, dark dried fruits and charcoal. Lengthy, oily, bittersweet finish with a pinch of salt. World class collaboration!
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 corby112 (1904) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 29, 2011
This is the non-barrel aged version of the collaboration with Mikkeller. On draft at CCB for Hunahpu’s Day 2011.
Pours pitch black and completely opaque with faint mahogany edges when held to a light source and a frothy mocha head. Good retention, slowly fading into a lasting ring that leaves sporadic spots of lacing in it’s wake.
Sweet boozy aroma with lots of dark roasted malt, dark fruit and sweet alcohol. Hints of dark chocolate, roasted coffee bean, fig, plum and raisin.
Medium bodied and pretty sweet, more so than I prefer for the style. There’s a decent roasted malt character with hints of dark chocolate malt, toast and espresso/coffee bean without being burnt or acrid. Hints of chocolate, toffee, coffee bean and hazelnut with a prominent boozy presence. A bit astringent from the coffee and alcohol with a good amount of heat in the finish. Pretty good but a bit one dimensional.

Trying this beer as my 500th Florida brewed beer rating.
I tip my glass to the person here on ratebeer who was the first one to hit 100 Florida brewed beer ratings. I thank you sir and who would have thought back then it would even be possible to try this many different Florida brewed beers. Amazing and a sure sign of where Florida brewed beer is going. Keep it up guys and gals. You ROCK!!
On tap Cigar City pouring very dark with dense thick creamy dark mocha head of foam. The moderate aroma offers up dark chocolate, malt balls, fudge brownie, a sense of minerals. The taste begins with a firm level of dark roasted malts and then quickly becoming sweet with malts, molasses and chocolate malt balls. It seems to pick up a bit of a red wine esteriness into the finish. Tasty brew and I love the name. Thanks for fusing a bit of Physics into this. Too bad Pauli had to be omitted from this due solely to his own principle.
