3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black as sin with a small, fiercely brown head, soon reduced to rim. Hops, liquorice, burnt malts, kletskoppen or cookies gone too long, coffee. Roasted coffee, quite bitter-burnt to even scorched; smoking or burnt wood. Some alcohol, giving mainly final sweetness & warmth, but surprisingly little depth, despite the hint at fusels. Very well-bodied indeed, slick and viscous, fierce alcoholwarming. Long sweet-alcoholic aftertaste. Warming up, there is a warm, peppery, fiery mouthfeel developping that is probably the cinnamon. OK, this is an above average to quite good stout. But no way, NO WAY anything about this beer justifies its ludicrous pricetag.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black pour with a dark tan head. Aroma is complex and lively with all sorts of chokolaty and roasted aromas. The palate is rich and creamy with an asortment of flavours from prunes and other dark fruits to licorice and spices. It gets a little much and I feel it lacks some softness/sweetness. Drinkability isn’t high if you ask me and getting through a whole bottle could become challenging if you take it on by yourself.. No question this is huge beer... But I like em a bit rounder...

Bottle 750 ml
Aroma: great depth: warmth of alcohol , rusty with raisin feel ,mild barrel treatment, aromatic , yeasty ending.7+
Appearance: yellow tint on light beige head. Deep black stoic base. Almost no carbonation.
Palate / Taste: So rounded. Sweet malts , refined alcohol. Slight barley roast with touch of smoke. Long lasting smooth rich character. Multilayered brew. There is no hype in this beer. Plain , great ale to have. Highly recomened.

Bottle from Hopscotch. Thanks a bill my friend!! It pours pitch black with a medium creamy brown head. The aroma is very dark ripe fruity with notes of berries, raisin, prune, sweet chocolate, sweet caramel, tobacco, vanilla, oak and some coffee. The flavour is light peppery, roasted malt, chocolate, prune, raisins, liquorice, sweet caramel, vanilla and has a very pleasant hoppy kick in the finish. This one is very balanced yet extremely powerful. Great!!!

Big thanks to someone for bringing this to RBSG. Pours out black with a thin tan head. Aroma is of some sweet raisins, roast, oak, and light alcohol. Nice creamy mouthfeel with some nice notes of raisin, cinnamon, chocolate, roast, oak and some light boozy rum notes in there also. Kind of like if someone made a chocolate rum raisin ice cream, minus the ice cream part.
