Moat Water is a stout brewed with lactose and Skatepart of Tampa’s own moat water, then aged with coffee, vanilla beans and Canadian maple wood veneers. As for the flavor... think All You Can Eat chocolate chip pancakes and bottomless coffee. It’s appearance is dark, just like your future if you dare to partake in the infamous Moat Race during Skatpark of Tampa’s legendary Tampa AM and Tampa PRO.

Bottle 750ml. Pours black with very high creamy light brown head. Nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, metal, coffee, milk. Taste is of roasted malt, nuts, sweetness, bitter (faintly), milk, some acidity. Palate: Full body. Poor balance. Foamy texture. Overall: Could have been better, but the palate is somewhat repulsive. Too sweet too. Still decent.

Bottle shared by tom10101, thanks! Pour is black with a medium "milk chocolate" head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of ash and dark chocolate. I usually despise ash in a stout but this time it wasn’t disturbing and almost fitting. Taste is sweet and milky, full of milk chocolate impressions. Body is full, carbonation medium. Altough a touch too sweet for me, it is still really good. This is one to be shared, way too much sugar for a single person!

Bottle (750 ml). From pandableh, thanks Dan! Black with a medium thick dark brown head and some lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, milk/lactose sweetness, maple notes, ashes and vegetal presence. Taste is sweet (lactose/milk sweetness) with roasted malt, vegetal presence, maple and caramel. Medium to full body. Medium/good carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Lack of balance. Not very sugary, but much to sweet. Not easily drinkable. Some complexity.

Nice black pour, what else is new? Nose is chocolate, coffee, vanilla and wood notes. Nice viscosity as usuall. Big chocolate sweetness, with coffee and a syrupy characteristic, damn fine breakfast beer if you ask me. Another CCB beer that I will miss when I run out of bottles

Thanks Sebastien @ RBBWG 2014!!! Pours an opaque dark brown with a brown head. The smell is dark roasted malt, char, coffee, mild malt sweetness. The taste is coffee grounds, dark roasted malt, a bit of caramel and a dry ending with a lot of charcoal.

@RBBWG14. Thanks to Sebletitje. Dark brown/black colour. Some brown/beige foam. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Dry and bitter finish. Very well balanced between sweetness and bitterness.

Bouteille 75cl courtesy of Ibrew2or3.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014. Courtesy of & thx! to Sebletitje. GUSHER. Pours a very dark blackish brown with a vanishing dark mocha head. Nose is heavy on the roast, caramel, mocha, coffee powder, all bitter & heavy on the roast. Charcoal upfront in the taste, bitter coffee grounds, charred barrel, faint sweetness in the back, mocha. Bit thin & fizzy. Would have preferred personally if there had been more sweetness in this & not bitter grounds and charcoal. Not a bad beer but I think that CCB can reach greater heights than this.
