COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moat Water is a stout brewed with lactose and Skatepart of Tampa’s own moat water, then aged with coffee, vanilla beans and Canadian maple wood veneers. As for the flavor... think All You Can Eat chocolate chip pancakes and bottomless coffee. It’s appearance is dark, just like your future if you dare to partake in the infamous Moat Race during Skatpark of Tampa’s legendary Tampa AM and Tampa PRO.

75cl, no mention of ABV, new exclusive American brew Anno 2012, with lactose, vanilla and coffee, thx to Secret Santa!, very complex sweet Stout, roasted/sweet and slightly fruity, balanced, cloudy, small head, very good brew, yet very expensive!

Bottle at Stout 3 & Freestyle Tasting, thanks to Jack. It pours near black with a thick dark tan head. The nose is roasted malt, smooth sweetness, maple, vanilla, chocolate gateaux and earth. The taste is roasted malt, earth, vanilla, ashy, dark fruit, light coffee, burnt notes, faint liquorice and toast with a dry, light roasted finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Well balanced. Not massively complex, but pretty tasty nonetheless.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2013 Bottle at the Stouts Pt. III & Others Tasting - London. Thanks to Jack! Pours deep, black-brown with a tight, creamy beige cap. Lots of rich, kind chocolate in the nose, touches of vanilla, hints of burnt wood. Big sweet flavor without being cloying, plenty of chocolate, vanilla, some dark fruits, mild bitterness, cocoa. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth to finish, sugary chocolate, mild roast, chocolate candies, mellow vanilla. Very tasty stuff. (4.2)

Bottle shared on the RBWG 2013 bus. Pours oily black-brown with a creamy, brown foam head. Ashy roast aroma, some charred wood. Big sweet flavor with more burnt wood, marshmallow, bittersweet chocolate, strong roasted malts. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with rich dark malts, more charred wood, some vinous texture, baking cocoa. Very nice stuff. (4.1)

Bottle thanks to jnkor: pours a rich oily opaque with a stringy-lacing froth of dark tan head. Has a sweet toasted dark caramel malty nose with vanilla and maple notes along with some mocha coffee. Starts with good fullness and rich dark malty sweetness with dark chocolate and vanilla complexity before a sweet maple finish with some lingering roasted coffee flavor. A well-balanced and unique brew.

Great aroma! Dry cacao nibs and malt. Chocolate and vanilla jump in before the roasty malt base fades. Mildly sweet. Good balance start to finish. This is quite nice.

Bottle shared by b3shine. Poured clear dark brown color with medium tan frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy roasted chocolate, vanilla and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted coffee and sweet chocolate flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded with a very good stout.

750 ml bottle shared by b3shine. Pours dark brown to black with a small dark tan film. The aroma has big roasted malts, black coffee, vanilla cream, light syrupy maple and some chili peppers. The flavor has the same big roasted malts, coffee with cream, vanilla, sweet maple and a hint of wood. This was creamy smooth and well worth the try.

Pours a thick viscous black color with a two finger khaki foam. The nose is big roasted choclate and rich coffee. The palate follows the nose with beautiful balance and a dead on mouthfeel thats rich and silky smooth. Big coffee flavor is kept in check by roasty chocolate, burnt sugar and a bit of malt ball character. The vanilla and maple notes come in mid to late palate and really punch the beer up from good to delicious ! Thanks Nate for sharing !
