COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moat Water is a stout brewed with lactose and Skatepart of Tampa’s own moat water, then aged with coffee, vanilla beans and Canadian maple wood veneers. As for the flavor... think All You Can Eat chocolate chip pancakes and bottomless coffee. It’s appearance is dark, just like your future if you dare to partake in the infamous Moat Race during Skatpark of Tampa’s legendary Tampa AM and Tampa PRO.

750 ml bottle shared by b3shine. Pours dark brown to black with a small dark tan film. The aroma has big roasted malts, black coffee, vanilla cream, light syrupy maple and some chili peppers. The flavor has the same big roasted malts, coffee with cream, vanilla, sweet maple and a hint of wood. This was creamy smooth and well worth the try.

Pours a thick viscous black color with a two finger khaki foam. The nose is big roasted choclate and rich coffee. The palate follows the nose with beautiful balance and a dead on mouthfeel thats rich and silky smooth. Big coffee flavor is kept in check by roasty chocolate, burnt sugar and a bit of malt ball character. The vanilla and maple notes come in mid to late palate and really punch the beer up from good to delicious ! Thanks Nate for sharing !

750ml bottle, 2013 vintage, thanks to b3shine for sharing (one crossed off the wants list!). Dark brown / black color. Nice brown head. Good lace. Nice coffee bean and vanilla in the nose, hint of that maple wood. Maybe some chile at first, but none of that at all in the flavor. Awesome blend of maple wood, vanilla, coffee, darker chocolate in the flavor. Nice big sweet flavor, but a good light bitterness, too. Bigger body. Good chewy texture. Smooth, creamy, light carbonation. Great stuff! Not too sweet for me

750 ml bottle to snifter shared by me with the group (thanks for this one, drowland!). Looks good; black with light beige lacing. Smells good too; ROASTY and malty with notes of maple wood. Tastes like it smells with a sweet backbone and a nice vanilla presence. Nice and smooth on the palate. Good beer.

On bus, shared during RBWG. Thanks to whomever shared this. Pours a muddy, moat water brown with a small sudsy tan head. Nose is light cocoa, coffee, maple syrup, light cinnamon and other spice. Flavor is similar. lactose is noted more in the flavor than nose, sweetness is greater as well, bit overall pretty solid sweet stout.

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated opaque dark brown colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was brown malt and dark malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of brown malt and dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Shared bottle with Timfoolery. Pours a dark brown, almost black with a thin tan head. Smells of coffee. Tastes of dark chocolate with a hint of coffee. Super smooth on the palate. Very nice!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
