Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, vanilla, vanilla beans, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee aroma with weak hints of vanilla. Roasted malty sweetish chocolate vanilla and coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty weak woody coffee and chocolate vanilla finish.

Stouts III Tasting. Thanks to Jack, always good to try another CCB beer. Opaque dark brown with a good pale tan head. Light airy palate, soft. Rich dark chocolate, fruity! A little citrus hop in the semi dry finish.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2013 Bottle at the Stouts Pt. III & Others Tasting - London. Thanks to Jack! Pours deep, black-brown with a tight, creamy beige cap. Lots of rich, kind chocolate in the nose, touches of vanilla, hints of burnt wood. Big sweet flavor without being cloying, plenty of chocolate, vanilla, some dark fruits, mild bitterness, cocoa. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth to finish, sugary chocolate, mild roast, chocolate candies, mellow vanilla. Very tasty stuff. (4.2)
Bottle shared on the RBWG 2013 bus. Pours oily black-brown with a creamy, brown foam head. Ashy roast aroma, some charred wood. Big sweet flavor with more burnt wood, marshmallow, bittersweet chocolate, strong roasted malts. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with rich dark malts, more charred wood, some vinous texture, baking cocoa. Very nice stuff. (4.1)

Black in color with a tan head. Really nice coffee, vanilla, and chocolate aromas. Hints of wood, some spice, and a weird chlorine note. The flavor has some green pepper and chlorine which really ruin an otherwise nice beer. Roasted malt, vanilla, lactose, coffee, and chocolate.
