Overall, a nice fruity belgian strong that masks the booziness very well.

10/31/12. On tap at Pinglehead/Brewerís Pizza. Hazy tan pour with a small khaki head, lots of lacing. The aroma shows bubblegum, yeast, caramel, and fruitiness. The flavor shows more bubblegum, banana, yeast, bread, caramel, and a touch of alcohol.

Aroma is full of brown sugar and banana. Color was brown/red with a small white head. Taste is sweet, but not that sweet, with a hefe yeast edge. Palate was smooth but a bit oily, but not unpleasantly so.

Draft... Murky burnt-caramel ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. Up front, I canít pull anything from the aroma, but as it warms Iím picking up all kinds of unidentified fruits - some dark, some tropical and some fuzzy. There are herbal notes too, but I canít isolate anything. Medium to full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and zippy carbonation. The Flavor is fruity and tangy with a touch of caramel and enough minerally bitterness to balance things out. Lightly tangy, mildly fruity, bittersweet finish. Nice enough beer, but thereís a lot of mysterious stuff going on here. I blame Mitt Romney. I mean, what do I really know about what went into this beer? Likewise, what do we all really know about Mormons and shady dealings that put Romney in the driverís seat of the Republican party? This beer was released in the dayís leading up to the RNC in Tampa. Coincidence? I think not!

On tap at ccb. Nose is plums and prunes, some belgian yeast, toffee, and some beets. Pour is a dark brown with an off-white head. Taste follows suit with tons of fruity esters, some yeast, and a good dose of toffee. Good stuff.

Thanks to OmegaX for the share. Pours a cloudy brown, almost like apple juice. The smell was full of yeast, crackers and dried citrus. This was a fairly sweet Belgian, lots of cherries in yeast in the taste with plenty of mellow, bready undertones. At 8.8% it was fun to drink as well - cheers!

Pours cherrywood brown with no head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, sweetness and slightly boozy. Taste follows, too sweet. I'm a fan of this style and this does not represent well.

Banana aroma with slightly nutty hints. Brown in color and hazy. I taste oats, and nut with an oily palate. Delicious.

Dark copper and grey head. Spices, dough, moderate. Sour dried fruit taste. Okay. Dry aftertaste. Not so impressed. Could do with more yeast. Almost too far fermented. Still tasty. (On tap at the brewery)
