Aroma is full of brown sugar and banana. Color was brown/red with a small white head. Taste is sweet, but not that sweet, with a hefe yeast edge. Palate was smooth but a bit oily, but not unpleasantly so.

Sample at the tap room. This beer pours a hazy dark reddish-amber color with a thin bright white head that recedes slowly to a film. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of ripe fruit, yeast and malt. Medium body, on the over-carbonated side with flavors of dark fruit, malt and yeast. The finish is fruity with a sweet malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours a dark hazy reddish brown on tap with thin tan head and little to no lacing. Aroma of belgian yeast and dark fruits. Taste follows suit, but a chocolate malt and toffee backbone. Good balance and nice for the style.

Thanks to OmegaX for the share. Pours a cloudy brown, almost like apple juice. The smell was full of yeast, crackers and dried citrus. This was a fairly sweet Belgian, lots of cherries in yeast in the taste with plenty of mellow, bready undertones. At 8.8% it was fun to drink as well - cheers!

On tap at ccb. Nose is plums and prunes, some belgian yeast, toffee, and some beets. Pour is a dark brown with an off-white head. Taste follows suit with tons of fruity esters, some yeast, and a good dose of toffee. Good stuff.

10/31/12. On tap at Pinglehead/Brewer’s Pizza. Hazy tan pour with a small khaki head, lots of lacing. The aroma shows bubblegum, yeast, caramel, and fruitiness. The flavor shows more bubblegum, banana, yeast, bread, caramel, and a touch of alcohol.

A smooth Belgian style ale from Cigar City. Nice flowery, sweet, and malty character with little or no alcohol bite. Pours dark brown with very small head.

Draft at Proof. Deep hazy brown pour with a small tan head. Aroma first hints at estery yeast, plums, with bits of toffee malts. Flavor is chewy toffee, dark fruits, and bitter apple in the end. Not bad.

Draft... Murky burnt-caramel ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. Up front, I can’t pull anything from the aroma, but as it warms I’m picking up all kinds of unidentified fruits - some dark, some tropical and some fuzzy. There are herbal notes too, but I can’t isolate anything. Medium to full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and zippy carbonation. The Flavor is fruity and tangy with a touch of caramel and enough minerally bitterness to balance things out. Lightly tangy, mildly fruity, bittersweet finish. Nice enough beer, but there’s a lot of mysterious stuff going on here. I blame Mitt Romney. I mean, what do I really know about what went into this beer? Likewise, what do we all really know about Mormons and shady dealings that put Romney in the driver’s seat of the Republican party? This beer was released in the day’s leading up to the RNC in Tampa. Coincidence? I think not!
