Draft on tap at DLD 2012 (Munster, IN). Pours a rich glowing copper hue. Healthy fiery reddish glow and no real haze. A frothy offwhite head dies to a film, laces small. Aromas are crisp toffee, toast, biscuits. Mellow sweetness, touches of spice, and some dry floral and earthy hops. Touch of yeast, spice. Mellow sweetness leaves it a bit bigger than expected. Initial is lighter end of medium, offering crisp toast and biscuits, gentle sweetness, some crisp carmelization, dry florals and spice. Earthy hops offer spice, decent dryness. Middle is just a touch sticky, toffee, toast. Backend is a touch sticky and toasty, growing dryness, toast, and dry Europe hops, touches of spice. Quite drinkable if getting a touch girthy at times. Solid Marzen.

On draft at Cigar City, poured a really nice clear amber, that made my mouth water. Aroma of some floral hops, and malt. Really nice balance of malt and hops, a hint of caramel. Really sessionable beer.

Lagers away! Pours a brilliant medium orange color with a white-ish head. Nose is malt, more malt, some slight citrus and floral hops, followed by a hint of lager. Flavor is amazingly balanced and refreshing. My new favorite Fall beer. Light to medium in body and crisp in the finish- lacking the usual abrasiveness of the yeast in the finish. For a style I don’t care for, this beer is outstanding. Great job!

Draught at the Pony Bars Cigar City Event NYC sept 2012. Nice clear amber beer with a small offwhite lacy head. Malty and floral aroma. Malty, floral, hoppy and some kind of herbal grass flavour. To much floral flavour for me...

Growler brought up from the brewery by wilkes and lynn (thanks!). Yeasty sweet caramel and banana aroma. Taste is grass, sweet caramel malts, vanilla and grain. Finishes grainy. Good balance. Not my favorite style, but drinkable.

Tap at Dark Lord Day 2012. Earthy caramel malt and apple aroma. Deep amber with a small off-white head. Caramel malt, light fruit, earthy vegetal flavor with a light hop finish. Light body. Very malt forward. One of the better marzens I’ve tried.

Pours a hazy golden brown on tap with good off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma of fresh, grainy malts and slight sweet, german malts. Taste of bready, grainy malts. Good stuff, one of the best oktoberfest beers I have ever had.
