Tap at the Cask, Pimlico, 12/07/13. Mid black with a thin tan head. Nose is light roast, passion fruit sundae, kiwi, peach, soft mango. Taste comprises chocolate, sugars, berry fruits, kiwi, passion fruit, mango. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Solid porter and the fruit presence is very well pitched and subtle. At £6.50 a half pint this does not however represent vfm on the beer front IMHO!

Keg at CBC Clerkenwell 2nd B’Day Extravaganza. It pours a deep brown body with a medium tan head. Aroma is coconut, cocoa and passion fruit. Some roasted malts but the passion fruit is the star. Taste is more roasty and balanced but the fruitiness comes through and adds a tad of acidity to it. Creamy mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Very tasty and different.

Craft Clerkenwell 2nd Birthday Bonanza! Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is softish and light and fluffy. Smooth dark malt with a little cream. No roast or bitterness. Nice light passion fruit, fruity and not too sharp. Mild minerals. Finishes semi dry. Nice fresh tasting fruity porter. Very drinkable.

Tap at CASK Pub, London. Dark brown colour, a little transparency. Touch of a sweet tropical fruit nose on top of the dark roasted malts. Tastes as one would expect, which is great.

Keg at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Slight roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, some passion fruit in there. An interesting and highly drinkable porter.

Keg at CBC Clerkenwell during the Second Birthday Party - London. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Chocolate and dark malts in the nose, some toasted brown bread, light roast. Light to medium sweet flavor with nice chocolate notes, some dark and juicy fruits, a bit of char. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish with lightly dry chocolate, mellow roasted malts, dark berries and other sumptuous fruits. Very tasty and smooth.

Keg @ CBC Clerkenwell’s 2nd Birthday Party. The pour’s deep brown with an extremely lively off-white head. The nose is roasted malts and Ocean Spray Cranberry juice. The taste is initially quite ashy and bitter. More roast, some wood. Fine accents of juicy red berries and forest fruits come through on the finish. Medium body, fine carbonation. Overall, pretty tasty stuff. Nice.
