This 6% ABV beer was brewed with copious amounts of real passion fruit as a nod to Henrik Papsø, who was our inside man for Amager in getting certain special ingredients over there. He also has over 25,000 ratings on RateBeer!

At Fermentoren - in May. Very dark brown with a big and lasting, creamy off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit with a hint of chocolate. Sweet fruity flavour with chocolate and caramel and a hint of ashes. A touch of yeast in the finish. Well brewed, but passion fruit and porter didn’t appear to be an ideal combination

Draught at Fermentoren, Copenhagen
Bkack color, with creamy head. Light aroma of roasted malt, a bit pungent. Smooth mouthfeel; the roasted malt flavor clashes with the topical and pungent fruitiness.

Bottle at WWT III. Pours dark brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet with berries, red fruits, passion fruit, some roasted malts. Taste has chocolate, some fruitiness and a soft bitter finish. Medium body and carbo. Quite a nice beer.

Tap at Craft. Dark brown colour, not much head. Aroma is lots of passion fruit, not so much else. But very nice. Taste is less interesting but still good. Passion fruit only comes at the end. Initially is quite roasty, but swilling it around makes the fruit come out. Further down we seem to be alternating between roast and fruit. Pretty good, but maybe not as good as I might have hoped.

Bottle at home. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of passion fruit, roast, light chocolate and coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

75cl Bottle at WWT III. Deep dark brown colour with a red hue, light-beige head. Aroma of unripe fruits, some green stuff, roasted malts. Flavour is roasted malts, light fruity, can’t really tell if this is passion fruit though, veggies, a bit ashy, bitter finish. Light-bodied. Didn’t really like this.

McWorta (1522) - LUXEMBOURG - JUL 22, 2013
Dark colour with a light tan head. Noses a bit of ash and dried citrus fruits/hops. Full bodied with slick light watery texture, developing sweet passion, mango and peach notes on the palate. Notes of sourness - a really good beer! Finish is soft and coherently fading.
