Bottle, 75cl. It looks quite lovely in the glass, a more or less clear, dark brown body and a dense, dark beige head leaving lacings. The aroma has dark coffee, chocolate, a distinct fruityness and some chili notes. Soft on the palate, medium bodied, but feeling almost watery, with a nice carbonation level. Some fruityness in the flavor, but it’s mostly the coffee and chocolate that runs the show. There’s some faint chili burn on the tip of the tongue, but it disappears very quickly. Lasting mocha finish. Not sure about this one, it’s good, but in a strange way lacking on drinkability. 140420

Bottle 750ml @ Geokkjer
Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, passion fruit, caramel and mild chili. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long fruity, chocolate and light chili burn finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

750ml bottle at Hoppy pub, Thessaloniki. Dark brown color with big almost beige head. Roasted aroma, chocolate and fruits. The taste is the same but the carbonation in this bottle was too much and I didnt enjoy it.

Bottle from Mikkeller & Friends in Copenhagen. Fruity smell with chocolate. Taste of chocolate, roasted notes, passion fruit and toasted bread. I also got some smoke. The passionfruit isn’t that obvious but gives it an interesting touch.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2014 750 ml bottle, a gift from Mr. Papsø himself, many thanks! ABV is 6%. The glass fills completely with beige foam, and it takes a long time for the dark ruby beer to appear. Pleasant aroma of passion fruit and dark malts, hints of chocolate. Attractive and smooth fruity flavour, where the passion fruit blends in surprisingly well with the dark malts, probably because the roasted notes are not dominant. Moderate hops.

Bottle shared at Jtclockwork’s. The aroma is fruit, chocolate, wood. The flavor is virtually the same. The appearance is deep brown/black, tan head. The finish is chocolate, roast, pine needles. Medium, slightly thick in body. Nice.
