Bottle at home. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The nose is tangy fruits, jam, passion fruit, date, roasty and toast. The taste is smooth roast, toast, fruity tanginess, date, prune, date, jam and mild acidity with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Well rounded and rather drinkable. Very tasty.

Farm bodied, Pours well. Very fruity appeal, but more like yeasty fruity than a passion fruit aroma than I expected. Smooth dark malts, cake and a bit of toffee. Fairly sweet, balancing bitterness throughout, well developed, not as extreme as expected. Smooth drinkable body, well made for sure. Nice brew and surprisingly reasonably priced. Still wondering where the copious amounts of passion (fruit) went though. (75cl bottle from Dranken Geers)

On tap @ Beer Temple. Black color. Thick beige head. Aroma’s: roasted malts, sour fruit, somewhat sweet, hints of soy sauce. Retronasal it’s somewhat sweet, sourish, roasted, a bit plastic. Flavor is light sweet, hints of sour fruit, light bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes with heavy roast, ashy, bitter. Nice, but could have used a bit more fruit.

Big bottle (750ml I think) at Brewdog Newcastle. Pours a very dark brown almost black with thick tanned head. Aroma is of coffee and chocolate. Very malty. Nice smooth taste with a hint of alcohol. Was perhaps drunk when a little too cold. Sweet finish.

At Beer temple, Pours black with small head, notes are roasted malt, chocolate, not much passionfruit. Light bodied, almost thin. I can session this but nothing spectacular.

Mildly sweet porter with indeed some notes of fruit in it. It’s nice, but could have been more outspoken.

On tap at BeerTemple. Rather opaque black pour with rocky, lacy off white foam. Nice passion fruit aroma, very fruity, very light roastiness. Taste is sweet, really fruity light malty body, ever so slight touch of roastiness on the finish, maybe a touch of dark chocolate too. Palate is light and quite dry. Tasty.
