Thanks to kraddel for sharing. Darkish brown with a big beige head. Was a bit of a gusher. Aroma is passionfruit, dates, chocolate. Medium-light body, bittersweet on the palate with a fruity finish, highly carbonated. Taste is passionfruit, brown sugar, hint of chocolate.

Courtesey & thx! to Kraddel. 75 cl. bottle sampled during Borefts 2013. I was pretty exited about this one. Pours black with a huge beige, creamy overflowing head. Nose is chocolate, cocoa, roasted malts, fruity, sugar sweet, not really getting passion fruit. Taste is sweet roast, chocolate, grainy, hint ash, bitter herbs, not really getting passion fruit, maybe some of its peel, hint herbs, chocolate, coffee grounds, fudge. Carb. is way too high. I love CCB & passion fruit so I had high hopes for this one. What I got was a middling porter with no passion fruit, pretty disappointing.

Bottle shared by some nice fellow at Borefts, 2013. Big passionfruit nose, chocolate, fudge, very gassy, almost undrinkably so, light and airy. Flavors of coffee, passionfruit, somewhat weak. A bit funky. No thanks. This just doesn’t work.

Pours a dark brown beer with a good white head. Smells passion fruit and coffee. Tastes coffee and passion fruit and orange. Average carbo, medium body and a dry texture. I like this one.

Cream-tan dense foam filling the glass, very slowly reverting to rust-rimmed opaque dark brown beer; lots of lace. Roasted/burnt notes, black chocolate, bit of coffee and fresh green leaves; burnt toast. I don’t get much (passion)fruit, but the massive head ain’t exactly helping out snuffing. Coffee, Tobacco; sourish lining (markedly more than regular stout/porter). Bitter-roasted notes dominate however. (Black) chocolate returns in the finish and aftertaste. The acidity hints at fruit indeed, but a passion fruit flavour I can’t discern. Medium density; very slick, even slightly viscous/oily. Long bitterish/roasted aftertaste, still carrying the viscous feel; obviously quite carbonated. Passion fruit is a rather delicate flavour. I really wonder who’d thought it would survive the roasted onslaught in such a beer.

On tap at Øltorget, MAthallen, Oslo.
Huge rocky head. Fruity, yet dry. Cocoa interlaced with the passion fruit juice. Nice, but not that impressive.
