Cream-tan dense foam filling the glass, very slowly reverting to rust-rimmed opaque dark brown beer; lots of lace. Roasted/burnt notes, black chocolate, bit of coffee and fresh green leaves; burnt toast. I don’t get much (passion)fruit, but the massive head ain’t exactly helping out snuffing. Coffee, Tobacco; sourish lining (markedly more than regular stout/porter). Bitter-roasted notes dominate however. (Black) chocolate returns in the finish and aftertaste. The acidity hints at fruit indeed, but a passion fruit flavour I can’t discern. Medium density; very slick, even slightly viscous/oily. Long bitterish/roasted aftertaste, still carrying the viscous feel; obviously quite carbonated. Passion fruit is a rather delicate flavour. I really wonder who’d thought it would survive the roasted onslaught in such a beer.

On tap at Øltorget, MAthallen, Oslo. Huge rocky head. Fruity, yet dry. Cocoa interlaced with the passion fruit juice. Nice, but not that impressive.

A dark ruby brown beer, with a reasonable crème head. It is a light unclear beer. In the nose there is at start a fresh light sour fruity smell from the passion fruit, and end with dark chocalate. It is a medium to full bodied beer, with an average to low carbonation. In the taste there is a lot of passion fruit, which makes it a light and fresh beer, but there is also some liquirish. In the aftertaste, the passion fruit disapears, and a combination of liquirish and dark chocalate presents itself. Overal a decent beer, with a nice touch of the passion fruit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Thanks to Dorthe and Reuben for this bottle. Dark brown colour with a huge lacing tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and some fruits. Taste of coffee, chocolate, fruits, roasted malt, caramel notes. Nice mouthfeel. The finish begins with a bit sweetness and ends with a nice long bitterness.

75 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark brown (same colour as cola basically) with some sediment and a huge off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is sweet with hints of brown sugar, fruit, roasted malt, and chocolate. Flavour is much like the aroma – with a slightly bitter finish.

750 ml bottle. From Manchester, the UK. Courtesy of Brandman. This also happens to be my rating #5000. Yay!
Black colour with a small creamy tan head. Tosted malt, cookies, fresh passion fruit, sweet fruitiness and liquorice in the aroma. The flavour is... roasted malt, strong fruity hoppiness, bitterness and mild liquorice. Thin. That’s what it is. The aroma is incredibly fresh and fruity. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice. Hmm... I’m a bit disappointed.

Bottle from Brewdog Birmingham; dark brown pour with frothy white head, passion fruit comes through in the aroma, but doesn’t come through in the taste mostly reveals a decent porter sweet, coffee and some dark fruits.
