This 6% ABV beer was brewed with copious amounts of real passion fruit as a nod to Henrik Papsø, who was our inside man for Amager in getting certain special ingredients over there. He also has over 25,000 ratings on RateBeer!

750 ml bottle. From Manchester, the UK. Courtesy of Brandman. This also happens to be my rating #5000. Yay!
Black colour with a small creamy tan head. Tosted malt, cookies, fresh passion fruit, sweet fruitiness and liquorice in the aroma. The flavour is... roasted malt, strong fruity hoppiness, bitterness and mild liquorice. Thin. That’s what it is. The aroma is incredibly fresh and fruity. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice. Hmm... I’m a bit disappointed.

Bottle from Brewdog Birmingham; dark brown pour with frothy white head, passion fruit comes through in the aroma, but doesn’t come through in the taste mostly reveals a decent porter sweet, coffee and some dark fruits.

Poured dark brown with a huge frothy beige head. Aroma of sweet molasses over tropical fruit, roast malt. Medium body, flavour of vanilla smoothness, sweet fruit and a lingering bitter sweet end.

Comes slowly crawling out of the bottle and the first pour results in noting but thick, creamy beige foam. The beer is pitch black and smells like bitter chocolate, roasted malt and passion fruit. The flavour is dominated by roasted/burnt/ash notes at first with late fruity notes. Roasted bitterness, dry, and light acidic towards the finish. A bit special without being too strange and flavourwise has a lot to offer for 6%. A bit too high on carbonation, though.

Bottle, thanks Niall. Black with tan head. Lots of passion fruit in the aroma, also quite roasty. Taste is more roasty and less passikn fruit, something burnt. Decent body. Nice

Dark hazy brown, wave of tight bubbly sandy ringed head. Barbecued Passion Fruit, light roast soft juice. Very soft porter vibe, silky bitterness and Passion Fruit so subtly mixed in. Really neat backrolled cold coffee finish. Little sweetness throughout. Love this, and 6%?!
