Hazy pour. Aroma is sweet, some light vinegar, spice and salad. Odd flavor, not as much of the passion fruit as I expected. Sweet, caramel, grain, spice, yeast and grainy dirty notes. Finished a bit prickly on the tongue.

Draft at the tasting room at CCB. This one pours a hazy, glowing orange color with a pink hue, almost like grapefruit juice and topped by a small off white of foam that settles quickly to a thin film. The aroma shows a nice melody of tart fruits with oranges, pineapple, guavas, and peaches up front followed by some spices, and the funky guava grove yeast. Hints of old wood and acetic acid makes their way through as well. The flavor follows and shows quite acetic with the tropical fruits of pineapple, guava, and peaches up front followed by notes of spices, vinegar, and some funky yeast. The flavor is quite tart with the all the fruits, but there is a funky acetic character that throws things off for me, probably from the yeast. Medium bodied with prickly carbonation that enhances the tartness that leads to a sour fruit finish. Pretty nice treatment of the guava grove, but I liked the Spicy Plum version better.

Draft at CCB. Pours amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is vinegar with tropical fruits like pineapple and papaya. Flavor is sour with pineapple, canteloupe, papaya, bready notes. Medium body, quite puckering. Overall...good for the style.

Tap at BT. Pours a hazed peachy orange passion juice look- pink tinge- no head. Aroma is fruity with hints of solvent, acetobacter vinegar, prickly, pickles, earth and tropical fruits- some funk and wood. Flavor is juicy, prickly zesty spices, fruit juices, tropical notes, hibiscus tea, tomatoe, eggplant- nightshade herbal vege bitterness, some currant as well- more spritzy acetobacter and vinegar. too sour and aceto for me, and the fruit is strange and vegetal.

The aroma is a spicy brown mustard, vinegar, fruit. The appearance is hazy orange. The flavor is a little sweeter, fruit, vinegar, slight dishwater. The finish is spicy and vineagr. The body is on the thin side of medium. Good, interesting.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Cloudy hot pink pour. Aroma of guava, sugar cane, and nail polish. The flavor is pure burning sour. Notes of juicy guava and vinegar. Acetic x 10. It’s not so much sour as it is pure acid. A bit too much in my opinion, but it sure beats being bland.

On tap at the Blind Tiger during their Cigar City event. Pours a lot like the spicy plum, looks like papaya juice, no head. Sweet passion fruit on the nose. Jammy, sweet fruit and berries. Vanilla and lots of fruit. More sticky jam flavors, quite delicious. There’s a lot of acetic acid throughout, featuring prominently on the finish in particular.

On tap at CCB pouring up copper with a little bit of haze and thin white head. It has sort of a winter spicy fruity aroma with apples, peaches, watermelon and strawberries mixing with various farmhouse yeasty spice notes. Lots of sweet fruitiness in the nose here. The taste is fruity and mildly tart with sort of apricot, peach fruit tart candy. It offers up a refreshingly dry finish with lingering fuzzy peach skin, mild tartness and a tannin like sensation lingering off into the after taste.
