2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 BBB63 (5411) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Bottle from Eric and served in a pils glass: Holy Crap this is way over carbonated, it took 10 minutes to finish the pour. Otherwise this looks like an unfiltered golden pilsener. The aroma has pils malts, corny DMS and some faded Tettnanger hops. Some hop spice is also present. The taste and mouth feel is disappointing for I expected a bright and sprite lager and got something a tad too flabby and malty for me. I actually do not have an issue with the addition of maize to this beer for it is very even handed and not a major flavor character. Perhaps the bottle is old and the hops faded but I must say as much as I enjoyed the Witbier before this, I equally am sad about this. Quaffable enough to get a average score only.

Bottle-sampled at Abraxas in Miami, FL December 2012-pours lite orange with a small fizzy white head. looks like a good pils here. lite lacing to boot! nose is spicy hops, lite husky malt qualities, but mostly hops here. flavors are big bright hops, pale malts (not very husky) with some sulfur character that you want in a pils. long spicy hop finish here. body is lite however a bit more round than most of this style. very good however, i think there are better pils out there.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 SPDickerman (700) - Texas, USA - NOV 11, 2012
Pours clear golden yellow with a medium white head. Smells sweet malty and of crisp, spicy hops. Taste is sweet and not like adjuncts with a pleasant crispness that is refreshing. Light bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Cigar City Patio Pils finishes crisp with a touch of sweetness.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 boFNjackson (3581) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 8, 2012
Bottle (thanks to Beerlando)... Poured pale, golden yellow with a nice white head. Nice lacing. Nose the biscuity, cracker-like malt, corn, and floral/grassy hops. Some bitterness, not too grassy on the hop side of this. Melons, honey sweetness, bready and biscuity malts. Lingering hops in the finish.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 crosamich (430) - Naples, Florida, USA - OCT 1, 2012
I never read the description until writing this up. I get the corn as I noticed some sulfur kicking around in here. Otherwise, clean and easy-drinking summer beer.

12 oz. bottle. Proper amount of carbonation. Excellent head retention. Nose is pilsner malt and a touch of lemon. Taste has a delightful hop presence. Crisp taste of grain with sweetness followed by an effervescence that puts a nice punch in the texture. A flavor in here that reminds me of a dried corn husk. For a pilsner, this is exceptional.

Thanks to Kevin for the bottle! Poured clear lighter golden with a fluffy, well-retained white head. The aroma picked up a nice blend of bread and cereal malts with fresh orange rind and grassy hops around.. nothing at all to complain about. The flavor found bready sweetness and meaty corn at the core, with tart wheaty notes, orange zest, and hay bitterness around.. finished heavy on the bitterness, with citrus and grass leading, and black pepper sticking around for a while. Lighter-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. very hoppy for the style, but I was OK with that.. overall a very drinkable and enjoyable brew.

Entering old rates. Draft @ CCB.
