COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Patio Pils is a pre-prohibition recipe lager with a modern twist. We improve on the traditional recipe made popular by German immigrants to the US during the mid 1800’s, by replacing six-row barley and cluster hops with premium two-row pilsner malt and noble hop varietals. These improvements yield a lager which expertly balances malt sweetness with hop bitterness. As in the classic pre-prohibition recipes we add flaked maize, which imparts delightful fresh corn notes. <P> Patio Pils is an exceptional warm weather beer that stays true to its craft beer roots, bringing massive flavor concentration and generous hop aroma and taste to every sip.

Been waiting a while for this one. Pours a deep yellow, thin quickly leaving head. Nose is corny with hints of floral hops. Flavor is malt and corn forward with balanced hop profile. Easy drinker.

from notes A: Pours a slightly cloudy amber hue. Nice foamy head with ok retention. Some spotty lace noted. S: The nose is all about the hops and the cedar. Lots of grapefruit with bold earthy woody fresh cut cedar. T: Same as aroma. Solid amber used as a base here. Nicely hopped with citrus notes. The cedar pushes through in the middle and overpowers. The finish if full of earthy woody cedar with brings out a touch of pepper like spice as well. M: On the thinner side of medium. Good carbonation. D: Not bad. Not CCB’s best beer by far, but tasty and unique nonetheless.

Pours clear deep gold with short lived bright white head. The aroma is grainy malt goodness with an equal level of tasty corn kernels followed by just a bit of floral hops. The taste is full flavored yet smooth and refreshing with near equal strength notes of floral hops, creamed corn and grainy malts. It gets a bit earthy into the finish.

Bottle courtesy of Retorp. Pours a clear gold color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet-corn-like malt, notes of grass and wheat, some hints of yeast, apples, and pears. Flavor is sweet and wheaty with notes of corn, grass, honey, and hints of malt and floral hops. Generally light bodied with a crisp finish. Excellent drinkable pilsner.

Thanks for the taste, Joe. Pours a smooth gold color with nice white head. Aroma is sweet corn, grass, and sugar. Flavor i smooth: lots of sweetness, some hops, and light malt. Very smooth, easy drinking, and relatively sessionable beer. Nice take on the pils style, not my favorite style, but this one is very easy-drinking.

From Tap and Growler. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a two finger white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is loaded with sweet pilsner malt and corn flake goodness and a wonderfull balance of noble hops in the finish. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness. This is one of the best Pilsners I have ever had.

From a Growler (Thanks Joe) Pours a golden straw yellow with thick rocky head that has a nice cloudy white tint. Smells of corn, pine , some fruity esters. Taste suprised me lots of hops, and citrus notes, with a little corn in there too which actually gave it a unique character. Palate was oh soo clean and well done. Overall this beer will be an everyday kind of beer for me. Love have this on hand all the time when I want a easy session beer with tons of flavor.
