COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Patio Pils is a pre-prohibition recipe lager with a modern twist. We improve on the traditional recipe made popular by German immigrants to the US during the mid 1800’s, by replacing six-row barley and cluster hops with premium two-row pilsner malt and noble hop varietals. These improvements yield a lager which expertly balances malt sweetness with hop bitterness. As in the classic pre-prohibition recipes we add flaked maize, which imparts delightful fresh corn notes. <P> Patio Pils is an exceptional warm weather beer that stays true to its craft beer roots, bringing massive flavor concentration and generous hop aroma and taste to every sip.

Solid Pils. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with no head. Aroma wasn’t very strong. Hints of grass and hay and lager yeast. Taste was straw, lemon, corn, and hoppy. Nice and refreshing beer. Lighter body and carb.

Yellow pour with little to no head. Grassy notes with some lemon aromas. Taste follows with a tart lemon finish. Another solid CCB brew.

Pours very light yellow straw with head that goes away very quickly. Nose is cracker, lemon, fresh cut grass, noble hops. Taste matches nose, very grassy, lemon, crisp malt. I want a little more carbonation. It's ok, nothing special. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle from Homer321 - thanks again, Sean! Pours a somewhat cloudy bright straw gold with a small white head that leaves a lasting ring and a little bit of film. Aroma of cracker, pale, cereal, and pils malts, corn, straw, grass, and a dash of lemon juice. Flavor of corn, cereal, straw, crackers, grass, and some mixed fruits. Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a malty, corny, dry mouthfeel. Not quite the refreshing hoppy American craft pilseners I’ve been digging lately, but good in its own right.

Bottle courtesy of Homer321, thanks again! Slightly hazy golden pour with a white head. Nose has a nice balance of malt and hops. Flavor is bright and refreshing with just a touch of citrus hops coming through. Very easy to drink. Crisp and refreshing.

Bottle to half-pint (shared with the Mrs; thanks newcigarz). Looks good for the style; a hazy lighter gold with white head that steadily disispates into lacing. Smells hoppy and floral with notes of pilsner malt and lager yeast. Tastes like it smells with a nice mouthfeel. Not very snappy, but pleasant nonetheless. A good example of the style.

Bottle. Pours radioactive yellow white head. Nose and taste of lemon, grass, white pepper, fruit and cornbread. Medium body.

Nearly no aroma. Appears clear with a slight haze gold, beautiful lace, frothy head. Taste is crisp, semi sweet of apple and mild European hops. Palate is fizzy and nice. Overall, this is a great pils.

Tap. Clear straw yellow. Mild nose. Strong malts followed by a very apparent yeast. Crisp.

Enjoyed a pint of this beer on tap at the brewpub in Tampa. The beer had a light, clear gold color with an average-to-small foamy white head with low to short retention, good lacing, and average cling. Its aroma had a blend of grassy, grainy, and straw notes along with some scents of floral and pine hops. It was lightly bitter in taste with a blend of grassy and grainy flavors along with some floral and lightly sour flavors. The body had low to average carbonation with an average-to-thick mouthfeel, a dryish body, and a thinner mouthfeel, which was not watery.
