COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Patio Pils is a pre-prohibition recipe lager with a modern twist. We improve on the traditional recipe made popular by German immigrants to the US during the mid 1800’s, by replacing six-row barley and cluster hops with premium two-row pilsner malt and noble hop varietals. These improvements yield a lager which expertly balances malt sweetness with hop bitterness. As in the classic pre-prohibition recipes we add flaked maize, which imparts delightful fresh corn notes. <P> Patio Pils is an exceptional warm weather beer that stays true to its craft beer roots, bringing massive flavor concentration and generous hop aroma and taste to every sip.

Thats a nice pils. Refreshing with floral hops and light cracker malts. Very clean and crisp with tons of great hop flavor. Loved this pils.

12oz bottle poured into glass. This definitely wasn’t a typical pils. The corn malty-ness was more up front then most other pils I’ve tried in the past. It really makes for an enjoyable sipping experience.

12oz bottle from Liquor Loft. Clear-ish yellow pour with a thin off-white and visible carbonation. Aroma is grainy malts, light fruit and floral. Tastes are light malts, sweet pear, corn, bread, spice, grass hops and buttery. Little more bitter and heavy than the usual pils, but crisp and clean. Would definitely add to my six pack rotation.

From the 12oz bottle. Light gold pour with a thick white head. Light clean malt and perfectly balanced hop aroma. Medium smooth body, clean malt and earthy bitterness in the taste. Wonderfully balanced beer that is perfect for the Florida heat.

Pale golden pours with a small fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet corn, grainy malts, light bready character with touches of floral and spicy hops. Lots of sweet corn bread up front with touches of chewy grains ending on a slightly spicy note. Very rounded out body and slightly sweet throughout. Not too much going on, but I’ll definitely drink this by the gallon in 100 degree heat.

7/5/12. 12oz bottle. Finally in Tallahassee. Mostly clear golden pour (just barely a tint of haze) under a nice, frothy off-white head that sticks around for quite awhile and laces in nice rings with every sip, but not all over the glass like Jai Alai and some of their other offerings. There is that definite bready, grainy pilsner malt aspect in the aroma along with a grassy bite and some definite sweet, sugary fruitiness (though not hugely prevalent). Bready and pils-malty entry hits the tongue first followed by light noble hops, a bit of a hop bite, and more of that same sweetness that reminds me of a fruity aspect in some way. Lingers dry and crisp, though. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but something in the mid palate makes this just a tad too sweet/fruity for me. I’m also drinking this a touch on the warm side, but I get some sort of definite alcohol aspect to it as well. I was honestly hoping for better, but cheers to a lighter beer on these hot days.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling medium golden with a soft white head that fades after a while. Very pleasant aroma with some light corn notes, some hints of pepper. Flavor is full bodied with some sweet honey notes, nice hoppy bitterness, crackery bready notes in finish. Crisp mouthfeel. Refreshing summer treat.

Thanks Nick. Pours cleanish yellowish. Smells like toasty malt. Tastes pleasantly toasty, with a solid element of euro style bittering hops. Solid style from CC.
