Patio Pils is a pre-prohibition recipe lager with a modern twist. We improve on the traditional recipe made popular by German immigrants to the US during the mid 1800’s, by replacing six-row barley and cluster hops with premium two-row pilsner malt and noble hop varietals. These improvements yield a lager which expertly balances malt sweetness with hop bitterness. As in the classic pre-prohibition recipes we add flaked maize, which imparts delightful fresh corn notes. <P> Patio Pils is an exceptional warm weather beer that stays true to its craft beer roots, bringing massive flavor concentration and generous hop aroma and taste to every sip.

Interesting pils with a decent amount of hops. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is a little orange and pine. Taste is a spicy hop profile and sweet corn. A little dry bitterness in the end. Probably one of my favorite pilsener.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2013 Tap at CCB. Smell of a good amount of yeast and malt. Pours light hello haze with a white head. Taste citrus, grapefruit with bitterness at the end from the hops. This a a stronger pilsner. Enjoy!

Golden pilsner. Lemon hints. Fresh cut grass. More bitter than expected. Good but not as refreshing as I hoped ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from total wine Naples. Pours yellow with a thin white head. Not much on the nose. Slight hop flavor on the tongue but feels more malty to me. Finishes clean. Not my favorite from these guys.

Tap at 7% at CCB. It pours pale yellow with a small white head. The nose is crisp, grassy, icing sugar, biscuit, orange peel and tangerine. The taste is grass, spice, earth, lemon, lime pith, faint tartness, light toast, some alcohol and dough with a crisp, dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Hides abv pretty well. A decent crisp lager, but terribly nothing special.

2013 Bottle say 7% ABV A- poured a golden yellow with a small white head that had almost no retention whatsoever. not very many micro bubbles to be seen when held up to the light. S-a nice clean malt with a hint of hops comes across on the nose for me other than that smells of a normal pilsner. T- clean crisp taste with a slight citrus working for it. M- thin with a very nice carbonation feel to it. O- Its whatever to me honestly. Its a pilsner nothing special but not bad. Wont be searching this one out

On tap at Cigar City tasting room in Tampa, FL. While it may not be my first choice of CC beers, it was a very nice, smooth pilsner that I would love to have around as a lawn mowing beer.
