Immediate peaches all up in your mouth. Very good, nice and hoppy but not overpowering. Interesting twist to an IPA, I liked it.

Sampled at Get Real NY, cask ale festival. The most impressive beer of the day. When you think about creaivity, complexity, balanced flavors... this beer is at the forefront of all of it. Scary lively peach flavors pouring out above some of the tastiest hops... think Jai Alai and wawa peach iced tea.

Tap from CCB. Pours an orange amber with a thick creamy head. Aroma is a wonderful blend of fresh peach sweetness, grapefruit acidity and fresh hops. Taste is smooth malt, with touches of biscuit, tons a grapefruit acidity and fresh squeezed peaches. The hops, fruit and malt are balanced so well, allowing everything to stand out at different times. This is outstanding.

Draft at Cigar CIty. Pours a dark amber color with a smooth off white head of foam at the crown that receds slowly leaving broken spots of lacing on the glass. The aroma is really nice showing big, juicy fresh peaches to go with the grapefruit and citrus hops. Biscuit and toffee comprise the malt base and offer nice balance. The flavor follows suit with the orange and grapefruit hop bitterness up front, but smoothed out by the fresh, ripe peaches. The toasty biscuit malt offers a nice light, dry feel without being too sweet or heavy which allow the hops to shine through brightly. Nearly full bodied on the palate with balanced carbonation that leads to tropical fruit finish. Great tasting ipa. I think this is my favorite of the Jai Alai treatments.

On tap at Fruit of the Room. Maybe my second favorite incarnation of this beer. The taste is your traditional jai alai with fruity peach, grapefruit, and oak smothered on top.....

Draft at the Cigar City taproom. Pours a clear, dark, reddish-amber hue with an off-white head of smooth, moderate foam. Broken rings and splotches of lacing mark the glass. The nose is so freakin inviting, showing a big, juicy, super-fresh peach overtone amidst bright citrus blossom and grapefruit hops. Underlying malts suggest toast and biscuit, bringing some aromatic balance, yet they remain supporting cast members to the real stars shows of the show, which are the peach and citrus hops. Flavors are spot on, again very bright and citrusy, showing bold grapefruit bitterness with a soothing quash of ripe peach. Orange notes also come through. Unlike the early batches of Jai Alai, which were more malt driven, the recipe tweaks have resulted in a slightly drier, lighter malt feel, resembling toasty, unsweetened bread rather than heavier biscuit and caramel. The same is true in this version, and it really allows the hops and the peach to shine. Substantial in body, significantly more so than medium, I would say, the palate sports an even-keeled balanced and moderate carbonation. Peach serves to shorten the length of the bitter hop finish. Delicious stuff.

growler shared by Todd S. Sweet peaches and piney hops on the nose, very resinous. Pours orange amber with a thin white head. I normally don’t like peaches, but blended with the hops in Jai Alai its very nice, piney grapefruit with tropical fruits and peaches. Very drinkable.

Growler brought up by Todd from CC for the drowland organized tasting at Proof. Orange gold pour w/ thin white head. Grass, citrus and pine in the aroma. Tastes like the Jai Alai with a rich tropical peach vibe in the background. Came off kind of minty somehow also. Good.

7/23/10. Thanks to AskDrTodd for the growler brought up to Tally! Delicious fruity tropical and citrus aroma with just a hint of fresh peach on top of it. The flavor is much the same but with a good IPA bitter kick. Nice!
