3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours dark brown with deep caramel and earth notes. Mouthfeel shows the earth from the mushroom and a more nuanced hint of caramel and coffee hints from the brown ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the tap room. Part of their experimental series. The beer is a dark brown color with an amber tint. Thin beige head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of earthy malt and mild hops. Medium body with a savory character and flavors of earth and peaty malt, plus a bit of fruit. The finish is earthy with a bit of malt lingering. I was admittedly leery about a mushroom beer but this is pretty good.
