3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Heavy wood in the nose. Sweet spices, mild citrus, sweet cereal. Flavor is malty, heavy sappy wood, mild citrus. The wood nose on this is beautiful.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This was a smooth IPA, a lot like the Humidor only more malty. The finish was bitter and left hints of oak and vanilla on the tongue. Nicely done, and quite the beer for an aspiring hop head.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft at Cigar City poured an amberish orange color with aromas of light pine, citrus and wood. Flavors arw light citrus, light caramel malt finishing with a hearty oak taste. Almost like a mixture of toothpicks and some fresh cut oak. An interesting beer, glad I got to try it on tap.

Sampled at Get Real NY, cask ale festival. I like the comercial description, lol. A spicy hop brew mellowed out with oak.. like unearthly but not as good.

First rating! A cask of this made its debut at the NY Real Beer fest. The sharp aroma was really fascinating - I could hardly pull my nose away from the glass. The red oak adds an interesting element to this nicely hopped ale - it appears to be a bit bolder than regular oak. Really nice brew!
