Thanks to BeerBaby for this one! Pours clear very dark brown with garnet highlights. Very foamy tall, long-lasting off-white head. Tart, sour aroma. Balsamic vinaigrette and spoiled apples. The flavor is sour and acetic. I donít care for the way the sourness finishes on the tongue. This needs a bit more malt sweetness to balance it out for my tastes.

Other than being a massive gusher this was an excellent saison that was worth trading for. A sour farmhouse ale with attitude is just as good as many other Cigar City releases. Iíd love to try another bottle fresh instead of waiting for it to age.

Aroma / Appearance - After the creamy foam settled the glass was full of a rich caramel liquid. Strong yeast, sour mash, cherry red vines, and traces of dark chocolate tickle the air. It almost smells like a Flemish red.

Flavor / Palate - An immediate tartness perks up the palate. Sharp and vinegary, it is memorable after just a few sips. Chocolate and yeast march into a pleasant finish. The sourness might be a little too strong. Overall though this is an excellent release that was good to try once.

Poured from bottle. Beautiful pour with two fingers of caramel head. Lovely horse blanket and sweet aroma. Great sour combines with caramel finish on the first taste. Lovely small bubbles to finish the swallow. A very complex beer that requires many swallows to appreciate.

Karl bjuder på bishop Falun. Dyr vill jag minnas men inte säker. Kola och ättika i doft. Väldigt fluffig i kroppen men spretar mot slutet. Ganska lik en Rodenbach. Kul att gamla gänget är samlat. Trevlig kväll

Bottled@CBC2013 Dark brown color, small beige head. Tart bretta nose, quite intensive. Medium-bodied, active carbonation. Fruity, lots of bretta, some cellary notes. Lingering sweet sticky flavors in the finish.

Bottle, approximately 3 years old, shared thanks to Tim and Rachel! Gusher, pours a murky brown with ring of tan bubbly head and light lacing. Aroma funky sour fruits, lactic esters. Taste is woah, sour out of the gate, then a hint of chocolate before it goes to acetyl, then back to sour and dark fruits. This is pretty darn good, bubbly and effervescent but still substantial.

Bottle shared with drowland et al at Kickbacks. Slow gusher! It pours cloudy deep red-brown with a thick beige head. The nose is dank wood, tanginess, red grape, red wine vinegar, candy, mustiness, mould and leather. The taste is earthy, vinous, red grape, tangy cherry, bitter-sweet aspect, red wine vinegar, leather and wet leaf. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps a bit too much vinegar aspect, but a solid tangy sour ale nonetheless.
