On draft at Churchkey in D.C. The beer is amber hued with a quarter inch of off-white head. The aroma offers a healthy dose of smoke, ash, spicy peppers atop a sturdy malt bill. The flavor is more assertive, with smoky, spicy peppers leading the charge. A bit of a lingering, spicy burn in the throat. Overall, a fun and interesting beer. cask, pours a hazy amber brown with a paperthin head. aroma of smoke and slight hop bitterness. Taste follows, smoke, hops and heat from the peppers, nice balance of all the flavors. Nice, interesting brew

On tap at Churchkey (Wash. DC). Pours an amber color with a quarter inch of off white head. Moderate aroma of peppers with some smoke and malt sweetness. Taste follows the smell but stronger, with some sweetness but the dominant flavor is from the peppers. Has a burn that carries through the finish. Medium body with a tingle of carbonation and a dry finish.

Poured a murky copper from the cask with a nice thick white head and great lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, and a slight chili pepper spice. Taste follows suit, but no real spiciness comes through. Great beer, hope I can find it again.

Hazy reddish amber pour thin off white head .... aroma of chili peppers and light caramel malts also with light smoke ..... taste is awesome lightly smoked and chilli peppers, some light chewy caramel malts .... the chili peppers rolls around the mouth especially on the roof of the mouth with a light bitter kick ... finishes with a lingering bitter spicy smokey bite ... Definitely one of the best beers palate wise i’ve ever had

Draft. Murky brown color, huge beige head, solid lacing. Aroma of burnt bacon and charred wood. Taste is hot and spicy peppers and brown bread.

Draft. Hazy copper body topped by beige head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, smoked cheese. Taste is medium sweet, smoke, caramel, light sour. Smoke/pepper finish that leaves a bit of a burn. Medium body, light acidity.

On tap at Churckey for the Funky Buddha and CCB event. Smokey phenolics and funky bandaid notes finish with cedar spice and chilli pepper heat. Medium body with low carbonation.

Tap at CK. hazy deep peach. Webby lace. Smokey bacon fat nose. Spicy red chili. Taste is quite spicy, not overwhelming with thick rauch bier bacon fat. Savory with rich poblano pepper heat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draft at HI. Pours a deep honey amber with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of mild citrusy hops and chile peppers. Taste of mild citrus hops and a hot batch of chile. Very nice. Lingering chile aftertaste.
