Draft... Pours clear and golden with no lasting head. The aroma is restrained and tough to pull anything from, but I’m finally able to detect some strawberry and pale grains. Medium-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. The flavor is certainly well-balanced - pale grains and strawberries are the highlights here as well. Crisp, thin, refreshing finish.

Draft at Cigar City Brewing before the RBWG 2015 welcome event. Clear light golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of strawberries, whipped cream. Tastes of strawberries and cream. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Simple but lives up to what they were going for.

Pours clear and light yellow-gold with a medium white head. Aroma is strawberries and mellow grains. It’s easy to imagine strawberry shortcake from the aroma. Taste is really interesting with a quick flash of strawberries going almost immediately to the grainy malts which play an interesting little transformation game on the palate. It kinda finishes with the strawberries again - especially in the aftertaste. I’m surprised that the score for this one isn’t higher. This is pretty complex for a lagered beer.
