COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cigar City Brewing’s official celebration of Christmas. A rich-bodied brown ale forms the stage for holiday flavors which dance a festive ballet highlighted by pirouetting leaps of Christmas inspired spices. Cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, rose hips and chamomile compliment the subtle chocolate and light coffee notes of the malt and the addition of roasted carob and chicory complete the performance. Brewed once a year to celebrate the Christmas season. Pair with fresh cracked nuts, fruit cake and share with friends and family. Merry Christmas from the CCB family!

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown, murky beer with a very generous, beige creamy head on top. Aroma is very herbal, typical Christmas ale, loads of cinnamon, nutmeg, chestnuts and other spices. Flavor is very sweet and herbal again, returning most of cinnamon in front, backed up by a sweet malty base with ginger touches in there. Overal a typical Christmas beer, a winter warmer with full taste yet low abv. Quite decent stuff!

Big roasty aroma, semi sweet chocolate with some hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Dark brown, mostly clear, with light tan head. Roasty, light spice notes, some chocolate malt.

12 oz can thanks to Homer321. Pours nearly black with creamy tan head. Some lacing. Aroma brings baking spices atop bittersweet chocolate. Thinking I should probably have a slice of pie with this. Taste: lightly spiced sweet porter with lasting roast bitter finish. A touch astringent. Palate: medium body, average carbonation. Overall: listed now as a "winter porter" on the label. Nice take on a winter/fall spiced porter, but hard to see this as one I’d crave more of.

Bottle shared by jackl, 11/19/14. Gusher. Pours a clear copper with a large frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of plum, spice, caramel, toffee, nutmeg. The taste is toffee, burnt sugar, plum, spicy finish. Medium bodied, mild lingering spice. 300th S/H/V!

Draft at brewery. Smells better than tastes. One of cigar city’s weaker efforts. Too much coffee to be considered winter brew

Can to snifter. nose is a cross of pumpkin and Christmas spices. slightly floral. More floral and ginger in the flavor. very prominent in the flavor. tastes like licking a glade air freshener.

Unclear brown of color with an off white head. An aroma of spices, cinnamon, ginger and orange. A flavor of cinnamon, ginger, dusty and weak toffee. Too much spices for me.

Bottle sample at Athens Beer Fest. Wow this was overly sweet. Figgy pie, spice, tobacco, more spice and more sweet. The spices make this fairly interesting and mildly complex, but just too sweet for me in the presentation.

Bottle from Eric and served in a tulip" Pours basically brown with amber highlights topped by a mostly lasting fizzy head and okay lacing. The aroma has notes of caramel, tobacco, walnuts, plums, ginger ale, faint flowery esters. The taste is moderately fruity and somewhat sweet malts but not as sweet as I feared it could be considering the name. The spices are there but not overpowering till the finish. The mouth feel is sort of meh,not sure if it just me but something seems weird on the palate. Overall it is okay but I honestly expected a more malt forward sipper.
