COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cigar City Brewing’s official celebration of Christmas. A rich-bodied brown ale forms the stage for holiday flavors which dance a festive ballet highlighted by pirouetting leaps of Christmas inspired spices. Cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, rose hips and chamomile compliment the subtle chocolate and light coffee notes of the malt and the addition of roasted carob and chicory complete the performance. Brewed once a year to celebrate the Christmas season. Pair with fresh cracked nuts, fruit cake and share with friends and family. Merry Christmas from the CCB family!

Bottle 750ml. @ The Danish Summer Gathering, TFODRBSG12, Ulfborg.

Clear medium to dark brown amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, spicy, flowers, plum, cinnamon. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dusty, spicy, plum, rosehips, maybe a bit artificial - but think it is all the spices that make me think artificial ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120818]

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a huge lazing beige head - over carbonated or infected? The aroma has notes of fruits, malt, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, plums, straw, cinnamon, and other spices, leading to a dry spicy finish.

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2012 Bottle 75 cl. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a frothy, lively off-white head leaving laces. Extremely complex spice aroma - but quite enjoyable really. Medium body, heavy carbonation, a dry fruitiness and then again this extremely complex spice bill. But no real bitterness. 270812

Very hazy dark amber - purple beer! Small pale tan head. Light dry palate. Dry spices - cinnamon and others. Trace of plum fruit underneath all the spice. Semi dry finish. What a naff one dimensional beer, so much spice! Easily the worst CCB beer I’ve had.

Bottle, 75cl, at TFODRBSG 2012. Looking quite clear, dark golden to light brown in color and with a dense, small, light beige head. Rather flowery on the nose, with sugary maltyness and something roasted and nutty. Spices too, cinnamon and ginger quite obvious. The flavor is lightly roasted and nutty, with some bitterness. Quite spiced and lighlty flowery. Full body, a bit too carbonated. A quite pleasant one, but too much on the sweet and flowery side. 120818

Dark brown. Thick head. Light muddiness. Huge aroma - plums, sugar, muscovado and deep fruitiness. Smooth dark chewy malts, brown sugar, big plum character and light smoke. Excellent.
