3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: cloudy soft whites and blanched oats, collar and head included.
Nose: lemon, lemon grass, white pepper, key lime. Lavender and fresh floral esters. Essence of grain fields basking in a gentle spring breeze while soaking up the brilliant golden sunshine.
Palate: bitter, earthy, grain husks, spicy, rind, and white pepper. Dry finish – more grain husks, straw, and seeds. Flowers in the breath and funk underneath.
Final Thoughts: simply perfect. Grab a bottle, glass, and start the work because the fields are ready for harvesting and I’ve got a thirst to work up and slake at the same time.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft and Growler from Cigar City. Pours a slightly cloudy golden yellow color with a foamy white head. Nice sudsy lacing along the glass. Aroma is interesting. It has floral notes and some spiciness but there is also a funky undertone. Flavor has good tartness and spice mixture. Quite refreshing and easy drinking as a good saison should be.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: A refreshing, very fruity moderately barnyard and floral blonde Saison. Very nice.
How: Fresh growler sent to me by Maltzilla, thanks a lot Diego
The look: Cloudy yellow-blond body topped by a small white head
In long: Nice barnyard nose with lemongrass and flower petals. Taste is uber-refreshing, tropical fruits (peaches, mangos, pineaples), flower petals, barnyard, young tart apples, lemon zest, bread dough, yellowed grass. No bitterness to speak of. The beer feel doughy and juicy from the start but the finish is actually nicely dry. This is a surprisingly nice restrained beer from CCB, a brewery that usually goes throws everything at you. Also the beer doesn’t feel woody at all, I would have never guessed this is a Saison made with tables.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draft at Tap42. Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try this. Nice floral aroma with hints of honey and citrus. Flavor is light but still full of life and interesting to drink.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Ccb table saison 12/13/10 clear golden yelow. Growler... more like medicine bottle from dak. A and f are pretty textbook... Not a bad thing. Straw, wet, noble hops, lemon, minerals. Dry and crisp. Very easy to drink with lunch.... which is a pretty good thing by my standards. 7/3/7/4/15+

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Review from notes at World of Beer - Fort Myers on 9/17/11.
Poured on draft into a tulip.
Appearance: Cloudy medium gold with a 3 finger foamy snow why head. Excellent lacing.
Smell: Wine grape hulls with a touch of vinegar.
Taste: Light grains up front followed by a touch of sourness ending with a decent hoppy finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-to-medium-bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Good drinkability. The low ABV% means you could drink several of these.
Overall: Pretty good beer overall. It’s below the very high standards of Cigar City, in my opinion, but it’s still a solid beer. Not my favorite saison by any means, but it’s worth a shot.
